This beloved submachine gun from MW2 is still surprising in Warzone

FaZe Clan star Swagg thinks an old, beloved weapon is “frying”again in Warzone, and it’s something that hasn’t been in the meta conversation in a while.

When Modern Warfare 3 ‘s integration with Warzone first launched, weapons from the latest CoD title led the pack. They were the dominant choices in both multiplayer and battle royale, mostly because they were better balanced for the new health and TTK changes.

However, over time, weapons from Modern Warfare 2 have appeared. Some older weapons, such as the M13C, FTAC Recon, and STB-556 have all proven to be deadly choices – especially after a few rounds of weapon balancing.

There’s another old favorite that’s proving to be a solid choice, and it’s something that’s been a mainstay in Call of Duty since the days of the original Modern Warfare – the MP5.

Best loadout for the Lachmann Shroud for Warzone in MW3

That’s according to FaZe Swagg, who highlighted the Lachmann Shroud – otherwise known as the MP5 in-game – as being a top option in Warzone these days.

“It’s a 40+ kill game on Urzikstan with the old faithful – the MP5. You have to try this equipment,” Swagg said in his February 29 video. “This thing is absolutely filthy, I was frying.”

As with most SMGs in Warzone, the FaZe star configures the Shroud for better recoil control in close-range fights. This includes the use of accessories like the Lachmann Pulsar, Lachmann TCG-10 rear grip, and Meer Recoil-56 factory stock.

  • Canon: Lachmann Pulsar
  • Bouche: Zehmn35 Compensated Flash Hider
  • Crosse: Meer Recoil-56 Factory Stock
  • Magazine: 40-round magazine
  • Rear handle: Lachmann TCG-10

The Shroud might be an old favorite, but it doesn’t get much attention from WZRanked players. According to the stats tracking site, MW2’s SMG is still far behind in consideration, ranking as the 76th most popular weapon in the game.

It remains to be seen if he’ll move up the rankings any time soon, but he’s clearly won over Swagg.
