Pokémon Go players were blown away by the concept of the “Berry Garden” feature dreamed up by a fan, with some calling it “perfect” idea for mobile gaming.
Although the spin-off mobile game Pokémon Go has adapted many features found in the main series of games, there are still many that did not find their way to phones.
One of these features is the concept of planting, feeding and growing berries using bushes. Although Berries are a valuable resource in Pokémon Go, players cannot grow their own.
Now, a Pokémon Go player has created an in-depth concept for a Berry Garden mechanic, and fans have been blown away by this hypothetical mechanic.

The concept itself comes from a user on the TheSilphRoad subreddit named gameheros, who made a post titled, “Pokémon Go Concept: Berry Gardens and New Bag Management.”

The post included twelve images that laid the groundwork for the concept and explained how it would work in the mobile game.
According to the author of the post, Berry Gardens would function essentially similar to Arenas, would be scattered around the map and would be open to all players.
Players would contribute Berries of a certain type to specific bushes to grow more powerful versions of that Berry and even host Water-type Pokémon in the Garden to help the bushes grow faster.
Fans in the comments loved the idea and expressed interest in having more locations on the in-game map. “I really want something new on the map. It’s perfect.”
Some fans pointed out that a similar concept actually existed in Harry Potter: Wizards Unite, which was also developed by Niantic. “They had this mechanic in Wizards Unite. Seeds/watering/other harvest enhancing players,” one fan said. “It worked well there… so in theory they know how to do it.”
The author of the post also detailed ways to streamline Bag Storage, introduce new Berries, and much more. Depending on community reception, the development team might want to take notes.
