This dark fantasy anime is already seen as a worthy replacement for Jujutsu Kaisen

While Jujutsu Kaisen has released its finale, another anime has just appeared, and it could well take up the torch.

Animes are causing a sensation these days: quality animated series follow one another, and after having offered a superb year 2023, 2024 will not be left out. In the middle of all this, there is a genre that has interested spectators more: dark fantasy. Between the end of Attack on Titan and season 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen, the fans were there.

And if the first two series have been repackaged, one for good and the second for quite a while before its season 3, there is a third which has just arrived, directed by the renowned studio A-1 Pictures. And this new anime is already being emulated, presented as the worthy successor to other works of the same genre.

An anime that is already a must-see for all Jujutsu Kaisen fans

On January 6, 2024, the anime adaptation of Solo Leveling, a famous Korean webtoon, aired its first episode.

Avid readers of manga and manhwa will probably know the popularity of Solo Leveling and the fame acquired over the years by the comic strip. Just read a few chapters of Korean comics to enter a different and captivating world. Between character design, convoluted story and epic scenes, everything is there to please readers looking for a little darker stories.

It all starts with Sung Jinwoo, a good-for-nothing protagonist who joins the monster hunter caste to pay for his family’s expenses. But he cannot reach a higher rank, not having the required skills. While he thought he would continue to attempt raids that were too difficult for him, the situation changed when a powerful entity granted him access to a typical RPG interface. His abilities suddenly increased, Jinwoo evolves and changes completely.

Jujutsu Kaisen had kept everyone’s attention thanks to its season 2, but the anime has just packed up and will not return until the third season< a i=2> will be ready. And Solo Leveling could well benefit from the sudden absence of exorcists on Crunchyroll.

If a single episode cannot be enough to predict the future of the series, the enthusiasm it has generated on social networks is already a very good sign for the baby from A-1 Pictures studio.
