This deadly Warzone machine gun has received an incredible buff

One of Warzone ‘s overlooked machine guns is ready to go meta after an unexpected buff, however, a specific attachment makes it viable.

At times, the Warzone meta has been dominated by a specific weapon, but that hasn’t been the case during Season 1 Reloaded and Season 2, as the meta is in its most diverse state ever.

There are, of course, standout options like the SVA 545, MTZ-762, BP50, and Striker 9, the latter of which was tweaked again in the February 13 update. The Striker has had some of its damage ranges increased, but this has also been accompanied by some nerfs to recoil – especially since its horizontal recoil has been increased by almost 70%.

This SMG was also joined by the TAQ Evolvere in the unexpected buff, with the LMG seeing its damage increased across the board. However, it’s the 556 ammo type that really helps the TAQ thrive after the buff, especially if you want to use it at mid range.

Best TAQ Evolvere class in Warzone Season 2 after the buff

Warzone guru WhosImmortal highlighted the LMG buffs shortly after the patch, praising the 556 ammo type for making the LMG “unique” compared to other options.

“I mean, this thing is crazy. This rate of fire is crazy and it turns it into a much closer weapon at mid range here. It (556 ammo) kills the range here, but it goes crazy with the rate of fire, general visual recoil is easier here,” the YouTuber said, noting that stats specialist JGOD called the LMG’s TTK ” a little crazy” after the buff.

He also praised the TAQ’s movement speed and control, adding that it barely has any recoil to accompany the increased power.

  • Mouth: Casus Break
  • Canon: Canon long LRF Righteous
  • Underbarrel: Hound-96 Grip
  • Magazine: Belt of 100 rounds 556
  • Stock: Rampart Heavy Stock

As noted, 556 ammo is the stronger option than 762 ammo, the latter of which is described as “heavy” by WhosImmortal.

If the developers have overvalued the TAQ, then the LMG could see some nerfs before some time. But, for now, it’s a lot of fun to use and clearly meta.
