Baldur’s Gate 3 has tough fights in any game mode. One player thinks one of these fights is the worst and wishes the game community would criticize it more.
The game of the year 2023, Baldur’s Gate 3, offers interesting clashes that can be very difficult. Approaching them incorrectly can lead to some pretty stupid deaths in the game.
Fortunately, Baldur’s Gate 3 rewards player creativity and there are very few wrong ways to solve a problem. You can throw a corpse at your opponents, and even make a bear fall on them to finish them off.
Even with these creative solutions, a player still can’t stand one of these fights.
A Baldur’s Gate 3 player wants a fight to be explicitly hated by the entire community
Player u/amaterastfu commented on this on Reddit. He thinks players don’t “hate”a particular fight enough. The encounter in question is the one with the Shepherds of Death in the Trielta Hills and, honestly, we understand it.
For those lucky enough not to have encountered them, the fight against the Shepherds of Death involves two necromancer enemies resurrecting each other. To make them even more annoying, there’s also a bunch of undead with them to distract you.
“I spent the last half hour playing cat and mouse with the Shepherds while they revived each other,” the player complained. “On top of that, the bunch of zombies paralyze you with their shitty claws or steal an action from you with their stench.”
Y’all ain’t hating on this fight enough. byu/amaterastfu inBaldursGate3
Many players in the comments with this assessment and offered their compassion. While some have suggested tackling this fight at a higher level, one resourceful player shared a tip.
“I killed one of the Death Shepherds then had Karlach pick up the body and put it in his inventory. It’s instantly overloaded, but that prevents the other from resurrecting his friend and I was able to finish the fight without too much trouble.”
This clever corpse management is a great solution against those annoying Shepherds of Death. And frankly, we’re a little angry we didn’t think of it.
Hopefully this will help other players who are struggling with this particularly annoying encounter in Baldur’s Gate 3.
