Following her extramarital affair with a married man, this 25-year-old Japanese idol (introduced by Brave Brothers) publicly apologized, as reported by this article on Naver’s entertainment section.
On June 12, the Japanese news outlet Weekly Bunshun published a report about the controversial relationship between Japanese idol Murashima Miyu and professional basketball player Fuji Yuma.
Since 2022, the media and fans have been speculating about the affair, with many claiming that the couple’s relationship began after meeting at the basketball stadium.
In 2021, Murashima Miyu joined Kawasaki Brave Thunders’ team as their assistant MC, responsible for coordinating cheering events prior to the start of each game.
Following their first sighting, they were frequently seen together and on June 2, they were observed leaving an apartment while wearing masks. Fuji was also seen holding a drink that Miyu had purchased the previous day.
The official from Thunders confirmed that they were in a relationship, and the player’s acquaintance revealed the shocking news that they were having an affair despite Fuji being married.
“Yuma Fuji married a non-celebrity woman five years ago. It has not been announced publicly, but club officials are aware of it.
Fuji and his wife have two children, and they have been married for the past four years.
Until last month, his wife even came to watch the game with their children.”
On that very day, both parties went on their social media accounts to publicize their individual stances.
The basketball player began by saying:
“I apologize for causing a lot of inconvenience and worry to fans and officials. My careless actions have disappointed everyone. I am truly reflecting.
This report has resulted in damaging the trust of my family, fans and the basketball community. I will work responsibly to restore everyone’s trust.”
Miyu, the Japanese idol, also lowered her head and said:
“I deeply apologize for causing trouble to my family, officials and fans due to my careless actions. From next time, I will act responsibly so that everyone can support me with favorable eyes.”
The agency representing Miyu stated:
“There have been reports in certain weekly magazines about Murashima Miyu, who is affiliated with our agency.
In response to this, we as her agency have issued a stern warning to her for her reckless behavior.”
In 2016, Miyu debuted as an idol in the dance vocal group “CHERRSEE,”which was produced by the renowned K-pop composer, Brave Brothers. However, she departed from the group in 2020, and the team ultimately disbanded in 2021.
Following that, she gained recognition as a gravure idol (model) for magazines, renowned for her striking appearance and physical attributes. She was also dubbed the “No. 1 God Body of the reiwa era.”
