This new Pokémon Go promo code is said to be “the worst” ever

Pokémon Go fans are unhappy with the items offered in the game’s latest promo code, saying it’s not worth the hassle of typing in the letters and numbers.

The Pokémon series often offers items via promo codes or Mystery Gifts. These codes can offer everything from useful items to Mythical Pokémon, so fans are quick to share them with others online.

Pokémon Go has promo codes that can be entered through the in-game store or the official website. Like the main games, these codes can offer items and Pokémon encounters, but they are also known as one of the best ways to get new clothes for your avatar.

However, not all Pokémon Go promo codes are equal, with some barely worth the effort of launching the app or visiting the store. Fans have often taken umbrage at bad codes; the last one is not an exception.

The new Pokémon Go promo code is disappointing

Helpful Reddit user TheSilphRoad created a thread announcing a new promo code, which offers 10 Super Balls and 5 Potions to whoever claims it. Fans were quick to complain about how mediocre this gift was, since people usually delete these types of items to make room in their inventory.

“Thank you for sharing it. But I don’t like Niantic making a promo code for stuff I throw away. LOL,” one user wrote, while another said, “Niantic is opening the virtual vault for this one.»

“I think this is the worst promo code I’ve ever seen. I’m not even going to glue it. I’ve never missed one before,” another user complained, while another agreed, “Why would anyone even waste the time it takes to grab this, for these ‘rewards’?»

There might be a more devious reason for this giveaway, as one fan explained: “Seems like a ploy to get us to their online store.”When I redeemed it, it showed me a ‘15% off your first online purchase’ promo.»

A few potions and Super Balls is a ridiculously bad gift, especially in a game where PokéStops and daily tasks drown you in free items, to the point where you delete most of them to make room for better items.

If the intention was for people to check out the Pokémon Go store, then Niantic could have offered better items to keep fans interested.
