This Pokémon Go evolution ruined all of this player’s plans

A Pokémon Go player ended up taking a “big loss” after evolving a Pokémon that would have been perfect for the Super League.

Players who participate in PvP in Pokémon Go know that there are a variety of different Leagues that trainers can take part in.

Different Leagues have limits on CP that Pokémon are allowed to enter, with the Super League having the lowest threshold.

So, it can be a bit difficult to find the perfect candidate for a Super League heavyweight. This is why the Pokémon Go community told a player that he took a “big loss” after evolving a certain Normal-type Pokémon.

A post on the PokemonGoMystic subreddit gained traction among the community after a trainer asked, “Was evolving this just a big loss?”

The original poster added a screenshot of a shiny Excelangue which turned out to be a 3 star after evaluation. The trainer said, “From what I’ve seen of Exceltongue in PvP, was evolving it into Coudtongue a waste?”

For those who may not know, Exceltongue is one of the top-tier Pokémon available in the Super League thanks to its durability, variety of moves, and ability to chain attacks together.

Unfortunately, by evolving this shiny Excelangue, they ended up being disqualified from the Super League PC requirements.

Many Pokémon Go fans in the comments were brutally honest when delivering the bad news. “Sorry yeah, pretty big loss,” said one fan, while another said, “It had perfect stats for the Super League and it’s the highest ranked Pokémon for it as an Exceltongue with Tackle. ”

However, some fans tried to look on the bright side, like one user who said, “No, you still needed to save the shiny dex entry.”

The trainer got even more unfortunate news and said, “I caught a Shiny Exceltongue with lousy stats right after evolving it too.”

It’s always brutal when a player makes a mistake while evolving certain Pokémon. Hopefully this trainer gets lucky and finds another Exceltongue with respectable stats.
