A Pokémon Go player was left deeply devastated after failing to capture a Legendary Hundo, sparking debate over whether certain Pokémon were made too difficult to catch.
While at its core, Pokémon is the kind of game where you can relax and just enjoy what’s in front of you, there’s always an element of technique, skill, and knowledge that goes into filling out your Pokédex.
This feeling extends to Pokémon Go as well, particularly through some of its trickier raid battles, and especially through capturing those legendary Pokémon after beating them in that raid.
In fact, there is no guarantee that after defeating a 5-star boss you will be able to capture it, which can be quite frustrating, especially if you are lucky enough to encounter either a shiny or a Rare and powerful Hundo.
Pokémon Go player overwhelmed after missing Landorus Hundo
Sharing their dismay on Reddit, a user shared their escape from Landorus, attaching an image of the Hundo’s disappearance.

Many users offered their sympathy in the comments, with one explaining how “To be honest, this is really hard to catch. With its incessant left-to-right movements and being too close to do a full throw,” meaning the Pokémon is quite difficult to catch on its own, not to mention the added challenge it poses as a Legendary.
However, others were quick to share their similar frustrations: “I attempted two encounters today and lost them both,”one user explained, with another pointing out that “the last 3 legendary raids I I did, they ran away. All shots, most excellent throws. Fuck that.”
It seems frustrations are growing, with many calling the capture “one of the most frustrating moments in gaming” and marking it as “horrible game design” .
Other fans took to the comments to share their failed attempts: “I’m so fucking frustrated. I failed to capture it 4 times. It’s like 50 fucking attempts. No other raid boss has ever been this bad for me.”
While it’s certainly frustrating to see a player lose a Legendary Hundo like Landorus, it’s clear that he’s far from alone in this difficult raid.
