“The user interface is clunky, simple tasks always take like 6 steps to accomplish one thing. They never updated the appearance…ever? There is nothing intuitive about menu navigation.”

“Campfire is also a pile of burning garbage that doesn’t need to be its own separate app. Idk. I like the game (sort of), but they really need to redo this whole thing. I can’t believe Nintendo & Niantic let this suck for this long.»

Various players have chimed in to agree and criticized other related pocket monster apps. “If you think it’s bad, try Pokémon Sleep.”Every interaction involves long animations and loading,” one player commented. Another added: “The mobile version of Pokémon Home is also a burning pile of lag even on the fastest phones. By Pokémon standards, Pokémon Go could be a lot worse.»

While others focused on criticizing Pokémon Go’s main app. “I agree, their UI is a complete disgrace,”said one trainer, as many players echoed comments regarding: “The amount of repetition required to play the game, and how these elements are designed, just doesn’t make sense. In particular, Niantic’s designers seem to love having animations between most actions, which take much longer than necessary.»

Overall, many players pointed out many tasks that they felt were too repetitive. This included taking too long to feed their Buddy Pokémon, sending and receiving gifts, trading, Raids, captures, and much more.
