A player of Pokémon Go finally reached the maximum level of 50 in the game, when a strange and problematic bug appeared nowhere to disrupt this moment.
There have been a multitude of bugs and issues that have appeared randomly in Pokémon Go since its initial release.
Despite Niantic fixing some of these, many of these issues persist in the game seven years later.
Now, when a player was celebrating reaching the level cap of 50 in the game, they were quickly confronted with a bizarre bug that they described as having “ruined”the moment.

A Pokémon Go player named ZillieZephyr shared, “The Purified Gem notification ruined my level 50 achievement a bit.”
The post was accompanied by two screenshots from the game that showed the Purified Gem notification suddenly appearing in the foreground during the max level sequence.

The problematic gem even covered up the rewards in the process, with the player admitting: “I couldn’t tell what the 3rd and 6th rewards were until I looked them up. But like, why 5 lucky eggs?”
Many players found this funny, while admitting they would be “irrationally frustrated” if this happened to them. As legions of trainers congratulated them on the accomplishment, “I think it’s great that you did it or you could have been exhausted. I’m always afraid that I’ll one day lose interest once I achieve my goals.”
Others, however, criticized Niantic for the rewards they received: “Giving 50 lucky eggs is an affront,” with trainers suggesting that Star Pieces, XL Candies, and an additional Infinite Egg Incubator would have been more appropriate.
Visual bugs have often appeared in Pokémon Go, with one even reminding players of the famous Pokémon MissingNo bug after their screen appeared possessed.
