This Pokémon Go Player’s Daughter Used Her Master Ball in the Worst Way Possible

In Pokémon Go, the rare Master Ball is perhaps even more elusive than in the main games, which is why the story of the disappointing capture of a person’s Master Ball is so tragic.

While most Pokémon Go players are on a quest to capture them all, or perhaps find a powerful Legendary, it’s important to remember that not everyone takes the game so seriously. Especially not young children, who might be just getting acquainted with the Pokémon world.

There are many Poké-playing parents out there, sharing their wisdom to the next generation, but sometimes mistakes can happen. Maybe losing in an Arena, running away from a fight, and other little things.

But with so many important objects, it can surely be difficult to make children understand the importance of it all. Sometimes this lesson comes way too late.

Pokémon Go player devastated because daughter uses “purple ball”

In a Reddit post shared by Pokémon Go player TheKrustyKrabb, the veteran described an unfortunate scenario, where his innocent daughter cost them a powerful Master Ball while simply trying to help.

The post read, “My daughter just used ‘the purple ball’ on a 1-star Gourmelet” and shows, indeed, a 1-star Gourmelet that was captured in a Master Ball. Well, at least he’s not going anywhere.

Fans in the comments were understandably offering their condolences, although many found it difficult not to make fun of the situation.

One comment read, “Transfer your daughter to the teacher.” Before another added, “It’ll be fine pig, it’ll be fine.”

Other Poké parents chimed in to share the lesson, with one comment adding, “Too late now I guess, but you parents out there really need to make it abundantly clear to the kids to never use the purple ball.”

However, one parent shared their own anecdote, saying “My son used both of mine on a Zapdos and an Articuno, I’m not complaining.”

The lesson here is to be careful when handing over your Pokémon Go account to younger players, unless you’ve given a stern warning about Master Balls beforehand.
