In 1993, Park Bo-gum was born and spent his middle school years at Mokdong Middle School. During this time, he was known to be a talented swimmer. There were numerous stories about his school days, including one about his classmates sharing information about the bus route and time he took to get to school, amazed by his striking good looks.
Despite facing a slump, Park Bo-gum was forced to give up his swimming career. He then shifted his focus to pursuing his dream of becoming a singer-songwriter and started sending videos of himself playing instruments and singing to different entertainment companies. This led to him receiving acceptance notices from numerous places, including major record labels.
During an interview in November 2016, Park Bo-gum’s high school homeroom teacher praised the actor, stating that he was not only well-liked by his peers, but also actively involved in various club activities.
After embarking on an acting career, Park Bo-gum gained popularity and recognition among the public through his involvement in a variety of projects such as the films “The Admiral: Roaring Currents”, “Coin Locker Girl”, “Seo Bok”, “Wonderland”, and the dramas “Reply 1988”, “Love in the Moonlight”, “Encounter”, and “Record of Youth”.
In JTBC’s new variety show “My Name Is Gabriel”, Park Bo-gum has embarked on a new challenge of living as a complete stranger for 72 hours. He will not know their name or face throughout the entire experience.
In the meantime, the actor is set to appear in upcoming dramas such as JTBC’s “Good Boy”and Netflix’s “When Life Gives You Tangerines”.
