Small characters in Dragon’s Dogma 2 can rejoice, since the character’s size offers a practical advantage that should not be overlooked.

Hopefully you’re not too far along in your Dragon’s Dogma 2 adventure, as you might want to return to the character creator since your character’s size can give you different advantages in combat or when traversing the game’s open world.

Smaller characters benefit from a significant combat buff, as their stamina regenerates much faster than larger characters. The trade-off being that larger characters move much faster than their smaller counterparts.

Thanks to the increased stamina regeneration that small characters benefit from in Dragon’s Dogma 2, they will have a much easier time taking down the game’s multitude of beasts and monsters. This allows for the use of more skills and the potential to prevent you from completely draining your stamina.

If you fully deplete your stamina in Dragon’s Dogma 2, you have a brief period of vulnerability where enemies can deal significant damage.

So if you don’t want to be caught off guard, you might want to take a few inches off your character.

Conversely, the lack of traditional fast travel in Dragon’s Dogma 2 means you’ll spend a lot of time traversing its open world on foot. Many first impressions said this could slow the pace of the game to a level that bordered on frustrating.

Dragon’s Dogma 2’s excellent physics mean that taller characters end up taking longer strides and moving much faster.

So if you’re a less patient player, it might be a good idea to forgo combat advantage to speed things up a bit.
