This Week’s Destiny 2 Exotic Mission Rotator: Schedule and Loot Table Revealed

The Exotic Mission Rotator makes its return in The Final Shape, bringing back a beloved weekly activity that has escaped the content vault.

Destiny 2 has offered a wealth of seasonal weapons throughout its various seasons, with some being sought-after options that new players may find difficult to obtain. It can be disheartening knowing you’ve missed out on powerful weapons like Retrofit Escapade, IKELOS_SMG, and Scatter Signal.

Fortunately, Bungie has created a solution to this issue since Season 22. This feature, called the Exotic Mission Rotator, allows players to earn upgraded versions of vaulted Exotic weapons as well as older seasonal weapons through this weekly activity.

It’s important to note that only one Exotic Mission is available each week. If you miss your chance, you may have to wait several weeks for another opportunity to collect that mission’s unique rewards, so staying informed on this week’s rotation is crucial.

Exotic Mission Rotator Schedule

This week’s highlighted mission is Vox Obscura, which grants you the opportunity to unlock the Dead Messenger. This mission will continue until the weekly reset on September 24, after which it will be succeeded by another mission.

Exotic Mission Rotator Loot Table

Each Exotic mission features its unique loot pools for players to farm. This loot table is composed of older seasonal weapons that are fully craftable.

Weekly, players can obtain three guaranteed Red Border drops by completing the following tasks:

Finish the featured Exotic Mission on Regular difficulty.
Complete the featured Exotic Mission on Legend difficulty.
Run the featured Exotic Mission twice on any difficulty.

Subsequent completions within the same week will still yield seasonal weapons from the corresponding loot table, but these drops won’t be guaranteed to be Red Borders.

What is the Exotic Mission Rotator?

The Exotic Mission Rotator is a weekly activity introduced in Season 22, allowing players to complete and farm past Exotic quests for various rewards.

Rewards include craftable variations of returning Exotics, a selection of older seasonal weapons that were otherwise unavailable for farming, and even Red Border drops for craftable Legendary weapons. Each week features a different Exotic Mission, each equipped with its unique loot and craftable Exotic items.

How to Access the Exotic Mission Rotator

You can access the Exotic Mission Rotator by selecting the Destinations tab, then Legends, and finally clicking on the featured weekly Exotic quest.

To start each mission, ownership of the respective expansion or season tied to the relevant Exotic weapon is required. It’s also advisable to maintain at least 1945 Power for Standard difficulty and 2005 Power for Expert difficulty, as these are the current activity power caps.
