S-Tier Weapons in Throne and Liberty
Longbow
The Longbow stands out as the premier weapon in Throne and Liberty for a multitude of reasons. This ranged weapon boasts exceptional DPS, particularly when complemented by an off-hand weapon such as the Dagger. Combining these weapons creates a remarkable balance between ranged and close-quarters combat, although you may prefer to maintain distance and eliminate adversaries.
It also offers versatility, capable of delivering single-target damage and AoE attacks. Plus, Longbow users can heal both themselves and their teammates, making them invaluable in team settings. Whether engaging in PVP or PVE, the Longbow proves to be an outstanding weapon choice.
Wand & Tome
If you aim to be the ultimate support player on your team, opt for the Wand and Tome. Even for solo players, this is regarded as one of the best weapon selections. With the Tome’s abilities and the Wand’s capacity to lull enemies into sleep, it offers significant crowd control.
The main drawback is that while you may not deal substantial damage, your healing capabilities during battles can make up for it. Additionally, pairing it with an off-hand weapon like the Crossbow can enhance damage output, since the Wand and Tome lack in raw damage.
A-Tier Weapons in Throne and Liberty
Greatsword
The Greatsword inflicts excellent damage against groups of enemies, but its slow speed requires precise timing for effective use. It represents the most powerful melee weapon in Throne and Liberty, yet it has limitations that prevent it from reaching S-Tier.
Similar to the Wand, the Greatsword features crowd control abilities to stun foes, which is a beneficial aspect. However, it can struggle when used without an off-hand weapon, as it is primarily designed for melee and close-range engagement. While capable of devastating attacks, the Greatsword may feel cumbersome to some players.
Dagger
The Dagger is an agile weapon ideal for players who enjoy the Rogue class in other games. The primary objective is to maximize your crit rates for optimal damage while applying skills that can poison targets over time.
Though it serves as a strong S-Tier option for off-hand use, the Dagger has some drawbacks, including a lack of AoE capabilities, concentrating mostly on single-target damage. However, it excels in PVP situations, making it the leading melee off-hand choice.
B-Tier Weapons in Throne and Liberty
Crossbow
Initially, the Crossbow was heralded as the best DPS weapon during the beta of Throne and Liberty, but it underwent a nerf near the game’s release, resulting in a decline in its effectiveness. Nevertheless, the Crossbow can deliver solid single-target damage, particularly when utilized as an off-hand weapon.
This weapon shines in terms of mobility, enabling players to leap in various directions while enhancing their attributes. However, it faces challenges against groups of enemies, though it allows for combat from a distance, promoting survivability. Future adjustments could enhance the Crossbow, but for the time being, its DPS isn’t what it once was.
Sword & Shield
The Sword and Shield equips players with the ability to absorb damage and execute counterattacks through blocking. While beneficial in group settings to assist teammates, solo play becomes challenging due to its limited DPS capabilities.
Aside from its ability to block incoming attacks, this weapon also allows for provoking enemies to concentrate damage on you. While it offers damage protection and reduction to team members, it’s less effective for solitary players and is not ideal for ranged combat.
C-Tier Weapons in Throne and Liberty
Staff
Regrettably, the Staff is currently deemed the least effective weapon in Throne and Liberty. It performs adequately against groups of enemies with AoE damage and facilitates ranged combat, allowing you to strike from a distance. However, this range doesn’t translate to improved survivability.
The Staff’s skills offer minimal protection, its cooldowns are lengthy, and it struggles to match the DPS output of other weapons. For those wanting to play as a magic caster, the Wand and Tome significantly outshine the Staff in the current meta.
