On “Radio Star,”Tiffany of SNSD displayed her bold personality as she criticized SM Entertainment for requesting her to cover the costs of parking and coffee upon her departure from the company.
During a recent broadcast on May 15th, Tiffany Young, a member of the popular girl group SNSD, revealed various stories about her previous agency, SM Entertainment, on an entertainment show.
The female star specifically conveyed her discontent with the company and showed understanding for the saying:
“It’s hard to say that SM Entertainment is cold, but they don’t pay as much attention to Girls’ Generation as they did in their prime.”
Tiffany stated:
“I left SM Entertainment after celebrating our 10th debut anniversary but went back to work for a while because of Girls’ Generation’s 15th anniversary project.
But the parking lot was different & changed a lot in the new building that I didn’t know. On the first day of work, they told me to take out my pass. They asked me, ‘How did you get here?’ I said, ‘I’m here for Girls’ Generation’s rehearsal,’ and he took one look at me and said, ‘Can you give me your ID?’ He asked me to wait next to him, and I thought ‘Okay, it was very unfamiliar.’ Also, the new building in Seongsu-dong costs a lot of parking fees.”
The star persisted in their criticism of SM, stating:
“I was at SM Entertainment for 13 years, but when I asked for a cup of Americano at the company cafe, they said, ‘It’s 4,500 won.’
Just then, Sunny came and told me to order it under her name, so I drank it under her name. I was like, ‘This building was bought because of me/us!”
In the past, Super Junior members who departed from SM Entertainment also voiced concerns about the label requiring them to cover parking fees.
One of the individuals was Kyuhyun, who transferred to Antenna after his contract with SM expired. During an appearance on JTBC’s “Knowing Bros”show, he disclosed:
“After moving to Antenna, I went to my former agency SM Entertainment to practice as Super Junior. But they told me to pay the parking fee separately. Still, I’m Super Junior.”
Ultimately, Kyuhyun clarified the situation and made it known that it was simply a misinterpretation, stating:
“I thought it was too much, but it turned out that SM Entertainment also rents in that building, and all their employees pay parking fees. I thought I had made a big mistake. I apologize from the bottom of my heart. I thought it was just me and I got teary-eyed while saying this, but it was a misunderstanding on my part.”
At the same time, Tiffany Young portrayed Rachel Jung in the OTT Disney+ original series “Uncle Samsik,”which debuted on the 15th.
