On May 15th, Kim Do-hyun, Kim Nam-hee, and Girls’ Generation’s Tiffany Young were featured guests on episode 866 of MBC’s popular entertainment program, “Radio Star” .
MC Kim Gu-ra expressed concern for Tiffany on the show, stating “Feeling left out is difficult, but it appears that the company is not showing the same level of care as they did during your peak.”
Upon being asked, Tiffany explained, “I had left the company previously, but I returned for the sole purpose of preparing and practicing for Girls’ Generation’s 15th debut anniversary project. The building felt unfamiliar to me and even the parking lot seemed strange.”She went on to say that upon arrival, she was asked to present her visitor pass and questioned about her presence. Tiffany responded, “I am here for Girls’ Generation’s rehearsal.”She was then asked for her contact information and her manager’s ID, and was instructed to wait in a designated area. Feeling uncomfortable, she complied with their requests.
During her conversation, Tiffany mentioned that the parking fees at the Seongsu-dong building were quite steep. She then recalled a time when she had mentioned to the staff that she was there for Girls’ Generation practice and they had responded by informing her that she would have to cover the cost.
In 2007, Tiffany Young debuted with Girls’ Generation and her contract with SM Entertainment ended in 2018. She is currently pursuing her career with Sublime.
Tiffany mentioned that there was a cafe located inside SM’s new building and, having worked for the company for 13 years, she thought she could at least treat herself to a coffee. She recalled asking the staff for an americano, to which they replied it costed 4500 won. Just then, Sunny appeared and offered to order it under her name, so Tiffany requested for an americano to be made under Sunny’s name.
Tiffany asked, “Didn’t we help them purchase the building?”Kim Gu-ra argued, “You left to do your own thing. Are coffee and parking fees really that crucial?”
Previously, Kyuhyun from Super Junior, who has recently moved to Antenna, made an appearance on JTBC’s “Knowing Bros”and shared his annoyance with having to pay for parking at the SM building when he went for the group’s practice. His statement received a lot of attention, but Kyuhyun later clarified, “I discovered that SM also rents the building and their employees are required to pay for parking as well. It was simply a misunderstanding on my part.”
