TikTok is a well-known app for sharing and viewing viral short-form videos. It has been instrumental in propelling the success of various influencers, such as Charli D’Amelio, Bella Poarch, and Khaby Lame.

How to Save Your TikTok Drafts to Your Camera Roll

You may discover that you want to retain the footage you captured during filming, but do not necessarily want to publish it. Although there is no direct way to save drafts to your camera roll, there is a method to save the recorded footage.

  1. Navigate to your drafts folder and choose the video you wish to keep. Then, click on ‘Next’ to access the available choices.
  2. Where it says ‘who can watch this video,’ change it to ‘Only me.’
  3. Under additional settings, make sure that the ‘Save to device’ option is switched to the on position.
  4. Tap ‘Post’ in order to publish your video.
  5. Make sure to inspect your camera roll, as your video should be present there.

If you prefer, you can also save your draft without the TikTok watermark.

  1. Access the draft that you wish to preserve.
  2. Select the thumbnail of the video to view a preview.
  3. Clicking on the square located in the upper right corner will eliminate the options, allowing you to solely view your video.
  4. Use your device’s screen record function to record the video and save it to your camera roll. (Note: There will still be some buttons visible when using this method, so your video won’t be totally clear.)

Other users have mentioned that they were able to access a download button on the edit screen, enabling them to save their recorded videos to their device without a watermark. While this feature is not yet available to all users, it may be coming soon.
