TikTok Star Remi Jo Issues Apology to Sophia Umansky Over Text Exchange “Bullying” Incident

Remi Jo Bader recently experienced a comical yet eye-opening mix-up involving Sophia Umansky, the daughter of Kyle Richards from Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. The incident began when the two instantly bonded and decided to exchange phone numbers during a recent meeting.

That same night, Bader also met a man and, in the excitement, failed to save both of their contact information in her phone. Later on, when Umansky’s text came through, Bader mistakenly assumed it was the guy reaching out to her.

The misunderstanding escalated quickly when Bader responded to Umansky with unexpected hostility, saying she was “disgusting” and even added, “Hahaha I hope u go f*ck urself freak. Delete my number.” This sparked confusion for Umansky, who replied, “Omg you’re scaring me, ” and proceeded to send selfies in a baffling attempt to clarify the situation.

Bader, still thinking she was communicating with the guy, recalled, “I’m thinking that this is the guy texting me, messing with me.”It wasn’t until she shared the text exchange with a friend that the reality hit her: she had been directing her rude comments at Umansky all along.

Realization & Apology: A Twist of Fate

Upon this revelation, Bader was overwhelmed with regret and immediately screamed in shock at how she misjudged the situation.“Luckily she’s the nicest girl ever. I told her, ‘I’m sorry, ‘” Bader shared.

To make amends, Bader sent a heartfelt apology along with a box of cookies. This gesture was met with humor by Umansky, who quipped during a TikTok video, “I think I might be getting bullied by Remi Bader.”

Reflecting on the incident, Umansky expressed that it was both one of the funniest and most startling experiences of her young life.“I feel like she’s joking, so I’m just going to joke back with it. Little did I know, she thought I was a guy sending her a picture of a random girl, ” Umansky explained.

Despite the rocky start, Umansky remains optimistic about their budding friendship.“Remi, I love you, and I’m so glad we’ve experienced so much together in this short span of our friendship, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for us, ” she added.

As both women navigate their hectic careers—Bader creating content on TikTok and Umansky recently participating in New York Fashion Week—they seem poised to develop a meaningful friendship despite the humorous mix-up. While Buying Beverly Hills, Umansky’s family’s Netflix series, may have been canceled, she still appreciates the opportunity it provided to share glimpses of her life with the audience.
