Two travelers who frequently use TikTok shared that their stay at the Paradiso Ibiza Art Hotel was the “strangest encounter”they’ve had while traveling. Despite receiving a complimentary night’s stay, the pair had a few suggestions for improvement regarding their accommodations.
TikTok content creators Margaret and Corey Bienert manage the popular travel account ‘A Pretty Cool Hotel Tour’ and frequently showcase the one-of-a-kind accommodations they book while exploring to their 1.3 million followers.
Despite their expertise in the field, the pair failed to read the fine print when offered a complimentary stay at the Paradiso Ibiza Art Hotel.
Despite being aware of the transparent walls of their hotel room and the potential for anyone in the lobby to see their activities, the duo remained oblivious to the condition of the hotel’s facilities.
“According to Margaret’s TikTok, we were completely unprepared for the experience. The only information I had going into it was that one night’s stay would be free upon booking.”

“I simply hadn’t done any research to realize that this is an art hotel,”she explained. “Therefore, whoever spends the night in that room is essentially becoming a part of the art.”
Despite their initial decision to embrace the fact that they were visible to strangers while sleeping, the duo was taken aback when they realized that the lights could not be dimmed, causing them to have a restless night.
“As she lay in her hotel bed past midnight, Margaret exclaimed that they had only just discovered the lights never turned off.”
Additionally, the TikTokers’ room was not soundproof, causing them to be kept awake by passersby.

Following their experience, Margaret reflected on a few things she wished she had done during her stay, had she known what she was getting into.
She stated that she would have entertained the guests by performing Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour setlist, painting, or asking those who passed by to pay her $5 for a kiss through the glass wall, instead of feeling completely vulnerable.
The TikTokers’ viral story elicited responses from viewers who offered alternative suggestions for handling the uncomfortable situation.
“One person suggested putting on a show, acting as though there was a one-way glass, and yelling for assistance.”
Another person chimed in, stating, “I would attempt to frighten people.”
In 2024, Lavell Jackson, a popular TikToker, gained viral attention for sharing their hotel stay. During their stay, they discovered that the bristles on their toothbrush had “deteriorated”when they went to use it.
Upon discovering that the toothbrush had likely been used by housekeeping to clean the room, he immediately removed it from his mouth. He then informed the concierge about the incident and was offered a $50 credit as compensation.
