TikToker Passes Away Following Disney Half-Marathon, Days After Sharing Worrisome Video

TikToker and dedicated long-distance runner Caleb Graves tragically passed away following his participation in the Disneyland Halloween half-marathon at the age of 33.

In one of his final TikTok videos, uploaded just a day before his collapse, Caleb expressed to his worried audience that he was losing “control of my body.”

The travel blogger and Disneyland enthusiast, known for his engaging content and with over 18,000 followers, had been excitedly sharing his journey leading up to the half-marathon at the iconic Anaheim theme park.

Despite being only 33 and in good health, he was preparing to face the extreme heat of sun-soaked California. He documented his training experience during a significant heatwave affecting the state.

After stepping outside in temperatures reaching 97°F, Caleb appeared visibly exhausted and concerned, stating he was “marginally worried” about the half-marathon. Sadly, conditions worsened the following day, with temperatures escalating to a sweltering 107 degrees when he ultimately collapsed.

Upon completing the race on September 7, police sergeant Matt Sutter reported to Entertainment Weekly that a race worker observed Caleb “clutching his chest” as he began to experience cardiac arrest.

Caleb was quickly transported to the hospital by emergency services after he collapsed around 7 am local time, but unfortunately, he was pronounced dead just one hour post-race.

Though Caleb had no prior medical issues, he had earlier noted a potential “susceptibility” to heat, recalling an incident where he collapsed while walking his dog in the sun. In reference to the half-marathon, he remarked, “The Disneyland Halloween Half Marathon is tomorrow and I’m… marginally worried.”

Caleb acknowledged the extreme heat, stating, “It was 97 degrees [today] and there are other places in the country that are obviously hotter, I know people are gonna’ say it’s not terrible… I grew up in Texas, I know what heat is like.” He further commented that the heat in Anaheim was “its own kind of beast.”

As of now, officials have not confirmed if the heat played a role in Caleb’s sudden death. The investigation by the Orange County Sheriff’s Department and coroner is still underway.
