A Temu customer has gained popularity on TikTok for sharing their purchase from the website of Disney-themed socks.
Recently, TikToker Emilie (emilie.fernstrom) and her husband John gained immense popularity with a viral clip that has amassed over 14.7 million views. The couple shared the comical outcome of their recent purchase from Temu.
The couple had purchased socks that they thought were adorable and featured popular Disney characters, as they were getting ready for their trip to the theme park.
The Disney-inspired socks purchased from the Chinese e-commerce giant appeared ordinary at first, featuring printed faces of the characters. However, upon closer inspection, the couple was surprised to discover incorrect spellings of their names on the bottom.
“John pointed to the sock, revealing a smiling chipmunk named Chip. “Isn’t he adorable?”John asked. But when he flipped the sock over, the name ‘Chib’ was embroidered on the back.”

“Next, there’s Mickey Mouse, who may look a bit silly but is still recognizable as Mickey. However, they call him ‘Miikey.’ Then there’s Minnie, his friend, who looks great. Wait, correction, they call her ‘Mimnee’,”he explained.
The socks also showcased beloved characters such as Donald Duck, who was given the name “Tonaid,”and Piglet from Winnie the Pooh, who was called “Bigeet.”John cautioned their audience, stating: “This is precisely the reason why purchasing items from Temu is not advisable.”
Many TikTok users expressed their amusement in the comments, with several stating their desire to purchase from Temu. One individual commented, “I suddenly have the urge to buy these socks from Temu.”
Another person joked, “After watching this video, I’m heading straight to Temu to buy some socks.”A different individual chimed in, “This is the perfect example of why I always buy from Temu. I once purchased Pepsi socks and they arrived with ‘Peepi’ written on them. They’re still my favorite socks.”
Regrettably for individuals wishing to obtain these socks, the company has made the decision to remove them from its website in order to avoid any potential legal complications with Disney.
According to a representative from Temu, as reported by The Mirror, the company places a high value on safeguarding intellectual property (IP) and frequently takes down listings that attempt to mimic other brands.
