TikTok’s Viral “Chroming” Challenge Almost Takes Another Life as Child Nearly Dies

A British mother is cautioning others about the hazardous effects of TikTok’s popular “chroming”challenge, as she claims her daughter fell ill for several weeks as a result.

37-year-old Mikayla Solomon is cautioning against the “chroming”challenge on TikTok after her daughter reportedly participated in it by inhaling “five or six deodorant cans”with a friend.

According to reports, 12-year-old Tiegan suffered from heart palpitations and dizziness after taking part in the risky trend and was quickly taken to the hospital.

According to the New York Post, the mother of two stated that she could have lost her daughter that day. Fortunately, doctors gave Tiegan a clean bill of health, but unfortunately, her condition continued to worsen.

The symptoms that she experienced for 12 days consisted of severe diarrhea, sulfuric burps, constant vomiting, and a feeling of everything moving in slow motion.

“Despite feeling grateful that it wasn’t more severe, Mikayla still has concerns about potential long-term damage. She has read about the possibility of cognitive impairment and memory loss, which is worrisome.”

It has been stated by experts that engaging in chroming can result in cardiac arrest, seizures, suffocation, and brain damage. Tragically, earlier this year, an 11-year-old boy lost his life “instantly”after experimenting with chroming during a sleepover with his friends.

Mikayla cautioned parents to be aware of the potential risks and advised them to have their children evaluated if there were any concerns about their involvement. She emphasized that participating in such activities could result in lasting harm.

Mikayla advocated for social media platforms to take action against potentially hazardous trends that were gaining popularity. She mentioned that while her 12-year-old daughter, Tiegan, should not be using social media, her friends were and would be exposed to these trends.
