Obtaining certain resources, such as Pearls, in Hades 2 can prove to be more difficult compared to other minerals due to limited opportunities for players to acquire them. Continue reading to learn about the methods for obtaining Pearls in Hades 2.
How to Find Pearls in Hades 2
Players of Hades 2 can obtain a Pearl by conquering Scylla and her group of Sirens, who serve as the final boss in the game’s second location, Oceanus. This encounter takes place immediately following the first region, Erebus, and the defeat of Headmistress Hecate.
In order to reach Scylla during each run, players must navigate through both the first and second areas, including all of the rooms. This can seem overwhelming to players initially, as conquering Scylla will only yield a single Pearl as a reward. Therefore, players must become adept at reaching this point quickly and confidently in order to gather multiple resources.
The initial battles can prove challenging as the band comprises of three members who frequently use homing projectiles and area-of-effect attacks. The vocalist, guitarist, and drummer all have a shared health bar, so it is important to prioritize one member at a time to reduce the amount of incoming attacks.
How to Use Pearls in Hades 2
Fortunately, the Pearl is only required for a few specific upgrades that will be introduced later in the game. By this point, players should have already accumulated a surplus of Pearls. These upgrades include the Aspect of Momus for the Witch’s Staff and the Aspect of Charon for the Moonstone Axe.
The main use of Pearls is to acquire the Abyssal Insight Incantation, which grants access to the Chaos Trials system. This feature customizes your gameplay experience by providing a predetermined loadout and additional modifiers, allowing you to earn Star Dust. This resource is crucial for obtaining Arcana Cards and Animal Familiars.
