The recent collaboration between Star Wars and Fortnite in Chapter 5 of Season 2 has introduced numerous exciting additions and incentives for fans to experience and acquire. This update, known as 29.40, was launched in celebration of Star Wars Day on May 4th.
Out of all the Star Wars-themed rewards, the most coveted items among players are Chewbacca and his weapon. Fortunately, you can now acquire the powerful Wookie Warrior’s weapon in the game and reign supreme in your Battle Royale lobby.

Getting the Wookie Bowcaster in Fortnite
You can obtain a Wookie Bowcaster weapon in Fortnite through two different methods:
- Each match, the location of Chewbacca changes, and it is your task to rescue him from an Imperial Roadblock.
- Obtain Imperial Chests by looting them from Imperial Roadblocks.
The most reliable and effective method for obtaining the Wookie Bowcaster is the first one, where Chewbacca will give you the weapon as a reward for rescuing him from the Stormtroopers. However, the second method relies heavily on luck, as not every Imperial Chest will contain the Wookie Bowcaster.
Instructions for Operating the Wookie Bowcaster
The Wookie Bowcaster, which is available in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2, is a legendary weapon that offers two different firing options.
You have the option to either rapidly fire individual shots or charge up the weapon for a more powerful and destructive blast. The single shot inflicts 55 points of damage, while the heavy shot can deal up to 120 damage to an opponent.
The weapon’s long range and heavy damage make it a suitable substitute for Marksman Rifles in games such as the Huntress DMR, allowing players to utilize it effectively.
