The weapon expertise feature of D4 is specifically designed for Barbarians, as they are the only class that utilizes four weapon slots in a distinctive manner.

Upon reaching Level 5, Barbarians gain access to the mechanic and can then progress their weapons from Rank 0 to Rank 10. This extensive leveling process allows for the acquisition of new weapon techniques and bonuses.

Practicing with a weapon in combat is the sole method of increasing its expertise. Merely having a particular weapon equipped in a slot will not enhance its rank.

Due to the length of time it can take, content creator DatModz for Diablo 4 has discovered a method to expedite the process of leveling up a Barbarian’s weapon proficiency, ensuring a quicker result for players.

The streamer explains that in order to accelerate the process, players should equip the weapon they wish to level up, assign an eligible skill to it, and then visit Kyovashad’s Training Grounds.

At the Training Grounds, repeatedly attacking the Training Dummies will aid in increasing the proficiency of the chosen weapon.

DatModz’s shared clip of Diablo 4 displayed the swift improvement of their Barbarian’s skill in One-Handed Axe Expertise, increasing from 0 to 4 to 8 in a matter of seconds.
