Tips for Transferring Pokemon Go Creatures

Tips for Transferring Pokemon Go Creatures

Running out of space for your beloved Pocket Monsters is one of the most frustrating aspects of Pokemon Go. While it is an option to use Poke Coins to increase storage, it is much simpler to transfer some creatures and bid farewell to the less valuable catches.

Fortunately, there are experienced Pokemon Go players who are willing to share the search strings they use to help clear out space and catch more Pokemon, especially during events like Pokemon Go Spotlight Hour.

In a Reddit post, a Pokemon Go player with an extensive collection of Pocket Monsters sought advice on which ones to transfer and the most efficient methods to do so. They posed the question, “What is your Mass Transfer string?”

Despite an impressive box size of 7450, the author is not playing around. Fortunately, other players have come to the aid and shared useful search terms to assist those looking to remove some of the less significant creatures from their library.

A Pokemon Go search term refers to the specific words and symbols that are entered into the search bar to filter through a player’s collection of Pokemon. These terms have different functions, such as using “3*,4*”to display Pokemon with three or four-star stats, or “!Shiny”to exclude any Shiny Pokemon from the search results.

A commenter recommended two useful search strings, advising to “use 4* to favorite all of them (to safeguard perfect IV Pokemon)”and also suggesting to use “0attack&0hp&0defense (to protect non-perfect IV Pokemon).”

Finally, they also included “0attack, 1attack&3hp, 4hp&4defense, 3defense (which is my go-to method for evaluating PVP IVs for 99% of Pokemon).”

Some individuals provided more elaborate recommendations, including one comment that stated, “0*1*,2*&!favorite&!shiny&!legendary&!mythical&!xxl&!xxs&!shadow&!ultra beasts”. This specific search string would prevent any Legendary, Shiny, or Mythical Pokemon from appearing, resulting in less powerful options.

Additionally, another comment elaborated on this one, stating, “I included ‘&!traded&!costume&year24’ as well. However, this did not display any of the desired trades I had made, removed event Pokemon, and only showed catches from this current year.”

To include all of the above in one string, it would be ‘01,2*&!favorite&!shiny&!legendary&!mythical&!xxl&!xxs&!shadow&!ultra beasts&!traded&!costume&year24’.

Hopefully, these tips will provide you with enough room to ensure that you are well-prepared for some of Pokemon Go’s most exciting events, including Adventure Week, Adventure Week Taken Over, and the ever-popular Pokemon Go Community Day.
