Is Tobin Bell ready to play another game? The iconic John Kramer actor has addressed the recent rumors regarding delays and disputes affecting the production of Saw XI.
Saw X marked a thrilling comeback for the horror franchise, especially as it featured the legendary character’s return, achieved by weaving the story back in time.
Following its exciting post-credits scene that reintroduced fan-favorite Detective Hoffman, discussions about Saw 11 quickly emerged, and it received the greenlight in December 2023.
As for Kramer’s future, Tobin Bell confirmed in a recent interview with the LA Times that he is set to reprise his role in Saw XI, stating that he will be a “main part of it.”
“I’m really excited about continuing to develop him,” Bell expressed. “John Kramer is not done. There’s more to learn.”
Since both Kramer and Hoffman meet their demise in the current timeline of the Saw series, a prequel format seems likely.
Bell’s return is fantastic news for the fans, particularly with reports about the potential delays surrounding Saw XI.
The upcoming film was initially slated for release in September 2024 but faced postponement to September 2025.
Last week, prominent film industry source ViewerAnon received information from multiple insiders indicating that this release date might face further delays, attributing this to “creative disagreements among the producers.”
Following this, ViewerAnon further clarified, “An important update on Saw XI: I’m told the current hold-up is NOT because of creative, script, or director issues. The delay is due to disagreements between Mark Burg and Oren Koules. They own the rights, and nothing moves forward without their agreement.”

ViewerAnon added, “Two sources stressed this is not a Saw 3D situation; Kevin Greutert is involved, and people are happy with the direction of the story.”
“So between Mark and Oren, is one of them telling the other to let Kevin cook while the other is saying the opposite?” someone queried, to which ViewerAnon replied, “I don’t know what the specific issue is, unfortunately.”
While none of this information has been confirmed, it remains speculative for now. What we do know is that the cast and crew are set to return and Saw XI is indeed on the way.
This news has sparked excitement among fans regarding Bell’s return. “GOAT is back,” proclaimed one fan, while another commented, “It ain’t Saw without him.”
A third user added, “Very good news! I loved the last Saw! It wasn’t like the others, but it was refreshing to see Kramer’s perspective.”
Currently, Saw XI is scheduled for release in September 2025. In the meantime, explore the scariest films based on true stories, check out the best Netflix horrors for this Halloween, and discover all the horror content coming to streaming this spooky season.
