Todo’s Return Robs Yuta Okkotsu of His Greatest Jujutsu Kaisen Feat Yet

In chapter 259 of Jujutsu Kaisen, a new revelation was brought to light, once again surprising readers. The beloved character, Todo Aoi, made a comeback, similar to the Shibuya event, arriving to encourage his brother, Yuji Itadori, to persevere.

The emotional sacrifice of Choso deeply affected both Yuji and the fans. However, the return of Todo provided Yuji with the determination to continue fighting, ensuring that Choso’s sacrifice was not in vain. Moreover, chapter 260 revealed the revival of the renowned Boogie Woogie technique, now even stronger than before.

Despite this, there appears to be a minor detail that connects to Yuta Okkotsu in a manner that could potentially lessen one of his most impressive accomplishments thus far.

In chapter 243 of Jujutsu Kaisen, Yuta unexpectedly appeared during the Kenjaku-Takaba fight. As Kenjaku overpowered Takaba’s technique, the dark-haired boy launched a sudden attack and decapitated the evil sorcerer.

Nevertheless, with the revelation that Boogie Woogie is still alive, it appears that Todo also happened to be present at the scene. In particular, as Kenjaku detected Yuta and prepared to retaliate, a clap was heard and Yuta suddenly appeared behind Kenjaku, resulting in a successful attack.

If this is indeed true, then Todo also bears some responsibility for the death of Kenjaku. Any uncertainty regarding this was dispelled when the narrators explicitly stated that the sound effect was identical to Todo’s clapping. Furthermore, the Kanji characters used for both sounds (Yuta’s slash and Todo’s claps) are identical.

Despite previous debates on how Yuta managed to “teleport”behind Kenjaku and land the final blow, the recent revelation suggests that Todo played a role in the latter’s demise. As a result, the Topknot Gorilla may have unintentionally overshadowed Yuta’s accomplishment.

Until chapter 243 of Jujutsu Kaisen, Kenjaku remained undefeated. Despite numerous attempts from powerful sorcerers such as Yuki Tsukumo, Choso, and Yorozu, no one could defeat him. Even Fumihiko Takaba, known as the “wildcard”of Jujutsu High, was unable to defeat him as his supposedly unbeatable technique was ultimately ineffective.

Yuta’s surprise attack on Kenjaku and subsequent decapitation put an end to the threat and propelled him into the spotlight. However, the recent revelation that Todo had actually switched Yuta’s position to be behind Kenjaku has shifted the focus once again.

Concluding Thoughts

Ever since Todo’s return, his impact has been remarkable. There were high hopes for his comeback and he certainly did not disappoint. With the spoilers also revealed, it appears that Yuji Itadori has been the biggest beneficiary of Todo’s return. As demonstrated in their fight against Hanami, the two are an unstoppable force when they work together.

In addition, Todo’s Boogie Woogie remains a major advantage and, most importantly, Sukuna appears to have depleted his arsenal. With Todo’s return and Yuji’s increased strength, it seems that the Demon King’s reign may finally come to an end as the balance shifts once again in favor of the Jujutsu High sorcerers.
