Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun season 2 confirms Winter 2025 premiere and more with PV

The second season of Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun is scheduled to debut in January 2025 (Winter 2025). This information was verified by the anime’s official team in a teaser PV released on Sunday, July 28, 2024. Furthermore, it was revealed that the four episodes of the After-School Hanako-kun anime’s sequel will be broadcasted on TBS over the course of four weeks, beginning on October 7, 2024.

The second season of Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun is a continuation of the first season, which consisted of 12 episodes that aired from January 2020 to March 2020. In October of last year, a four-episode sequel project titled After-School Hanako-kun was also released.

Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun Season 2 Trailer and Visual Confirm January 2025 Release Date

On Sunday, July 28, 2024, the official staff hosted the Toilet-Bound Hanako-Kun Kamome Gakuen Summer Festival at the Animate Theatre in Tokyo. At the event, the staff unveiled a new promotional video and logo for season 2 of Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun, as well as a trailer for the After-School Hanako-kun sequel.

As stated in the PV, the episodes of Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun season 2 will be broadcasted every Sunday at 4:30 pm JST on 28 TBS-affiliated channels in Japan, beginning in January 2025. Additionally, the After-School Hanako-kun short anime sequel will premiere four episodes on October 7, 2024, during the Fall 2024 season, on TBS.

The teaser trailer for season 2 of Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun showcases Nene and Hanako’s adventures as they delve into various supernatural mysteries, joined by Kou Minamoto and Aoi Akane. Additionally, the teaser also gives a glimpse of other significant characters from the original series.

In addition, the PV provides hints about the storyline for the second season. Similarly, the show’s creators have released a teaser promotional video for the sequel of After-School Hanako-kun, featuring Hanako, Nene, and other beloved characters.

The promotional video has announced that Studio Lerche will remain as the production studio for season 2 of Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun. Furthermore, the brief clip revealed that Yohei Fukui has taken over as the director for the main series, replacing Masaomi Ando.

In season 1, Hanako-kun was portrayed by Megumi Ogata, Nene Yashiro was played by Akari Kito, and Kou Minamoto was voiced by Shoya Chiba. Daiki Kobayashi took on the role of Sosuke Mitsuba, Minako Sato starred as Aoi Akane, and Kenjiro Tsuda portrayed Tsuchigomori.

As it aired in Japan, Crunchyroll streamed the first season of this horror anime globally. The story centers around Nene Yashiro, a high school student with a fascination for the occult. She stumbles upon the truth that Hanako-kun, the infamous ghost of Kamome Academy, is actually a boy, not a girl.

Nene Yashiro forms a strong connection with him and takes on the role of his assistant. As they delve into a secret realm inhabited by supernatural creatures, the anime chronicles the adventures of Hanako-kun and Nene, as they unravel enigmatic incidents while also avoiding any personal dilemmas.
