Official Premiere Date for Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun Season 2
While the release date for Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun Season 2 is set, details regarding international streaming availability remain unclear. The first season was previously available on Crunchyroll, and it is likely that the new season will also be accessible through the same platform, although a shift to another service is not entirely ruled out.
The trailer highlights new visuals of Akane Aoi, voiced by Shunichi Toki, showcasing him in both his standard and Clock Keeper forms. Notably, the returning cast will reprise their roles while several new cast members are also set to join this season. The opening theme, titled “L’oN,” will be performed by Masayoshi Oishi.
Yohei Fukui takes the reins as director for this second season at Lerche Studios, succeeding Masaomi Ando, who directed the first season. Fukui previously served as the episode director for the tenth episode of that season. Returning personnel includes Yasuhiro Nakanishi, overseeing series scripts, alongside character designer Mayuka Itou. Additional staff from Season 1 will also contribute to this new installment.
This upcoming season continues the television adaptation of the manga series created by Iro and Aida—published under the joint name “AidaIro.” The manga has been serialized in Square Enix’s Monthly GFantasy magazine since June 2014 and continues to captivate readers, with 22 compilation volumes released to date. Yen Press handles the English translation of the manga, which features a captivating story:
“Hanako-san, Hanako-san…are you there?”
“At Kamome Academy, rumors abound about the school’s Seven Mysteries, one of which is Hanako-san. Said to occupy the third stall of the third floor girls’ bathroom in the old school building, Hanako-san grants any wish when summoned. Nene Yashiro, an occult-loving high school girl who dreams of romance, ventures into this haunted bathroom…but the Hanako-san she meets there is nothing like she imagined! Kamome Academy’s Hanako-san…is a boy!”
