Despite being popular, Ken Wakui’s previous series caused a lot of concern for fans due to its rushed ending, leading to worries about the upcoming series.

“Who let the TR guy do another series?”

Despite concerns from fans, it was feared that the manga creator may once again falter at the end of an otherwise intriguing series, leaving them disappointed.

Despite manga fans’ belief that the creators of My Hero Academia and Jujutsu Kaisen were struggling with their respective series, some fans joked that Ken Wakui wanted to demonstrate what a true fumble really looked like.

This could be the reason for his decision to join Shueisha following his time at Kodansha.

“Saw Gege and Hori fumbling their final arcs and decided to join in to show them what #REAL fumbling looks like.”

One fan also speculated that Negai no Astro, a manga that is set to be released soon, could potentially serve as a sequel to Tokyo Revengers. According to this theory, the manga will delve into the future of one of the timelines that ultimately ended in failure.

“Plot twist: it’s actually a “sequel”to TR, taking place in one of the failed timelines.”

At the same time, some fans believed that it was time for manga creator Ken Wakui to explore other genres, as he already had one successful series centered around delinquents.

“Tokyo Revengers fell off BUT I’ll definitely be willing to give this a try.”

Despite initial reservations, many fans are willing to give the new manga series a chance. This is due to their positive impression of Ken Wakui’s artwork in the final two arcs of Tokyo Revengers. As a result, there is anticipation for the new series to also showcase the manga creator’s exceptional artwork.
