Tommy Fury Issues MMA Fight Challenge to Jake Paul Following Boxing Victory

Influencer boxer Tommy Fury has issued a challenge to Jake Paul for a rematch in MMA after delivering ‘The Problem Child’ his first-ever defeat in the boxing ring.

Jake Paul experienced a setback in his professional boxing career in February 2023, suffering a split decision loss to Tommy Fury in a highly anticipated match.

Since that defeat, Paul has bounced back impressively, securing victories over UFC veteran Nate Diaz, Andre August, Ryan Bourland, and Mike Perry, while eyeing a fight with boxing legend Mike Tyson in November 2024.

Despite his success, Jake Paul has repeatedly expressed a desire to transition into MMA. As he awaits the perfect opponent for his PFL debut, Tommy Fury is stepping forward with a challenge.

In a recent training session with Interim UFC Heavyweight Champion Tom Aspinall, Fury called out Paul, expressing his eagerness to face him inside the cage.

“Jake Paul’s in the PFL, isn’t he? I’m going to smash his face in when I get proficient in MMA,” Fury stated. “I’ll beat him in boxing and in the cage. Big useless pr*ck.”

He estimated that with just a year or two of dedicated training, he would be ready for an MMA fight, potentially handing Jake Paul yet another loss.

“He has the funds, the best trainers in the world, and top-tier sparring partners. He’s doing well, but he’s no match for me. I promise you, next time I face him, I’ll knock him out in MMA,” he told Aspinall.

In February, PFL founder Donn Davis disclosed that there was a $20 million offer for Tommy Fury to rematch Jake Paul in boxing, with a follow-up fight in MMA as part of the deal.

“Tommy doing back-to-back boxing and MMA – interlinked so he couldn’t back out of either – is on the table,” he mentioned to SunSport.

On the other hand, Paul intends to “wrap things up” with boxing after his fight with Mike Tyson in November and has “plenty of options” when it comes to facing credible mixed martial artists in the PFL in 2025.
