Despite not yet making an appearance, the enigmatic detective had already captured the hearts of many. His eccentric mannerisms and unmatched intelligence were irresistible. In fact, his well-crafted and charming personality even gained him a fan base who rooted for him over Light.
Despite being an orphan, he often conceals his sensitive nature behind a facade of indifference. Having experienced loneliness for a majority of his existence, he finally found solace in the company of Light and Misa. However, his hopes for a fulfilling future were cut short by Light’s alternate intentions.
Lelouch vi Britannia (Code Geass)
Despite his intentions to create a better world for his sister, the exiled Prince from Britannia, Lelouch, faced a tragic fate that he did not deserve. He took on the identity of Zero, a wanted terrorist, and led a rebellion against his empire to seek justice for the mistreatment of Area 11 and his family.
Despite his calculating and distant demeanor, he has a deep sense of compassion for others. Ultimately, he became a foe and altruistically gave up his life to unite the world against him and guarantee harmony.

Despite not being our favorite character at first, it is undeniable that Genya’s growth and transformation from a disrespectful brat to a selfless individual is commendable. Eventually, he earned our trust and became one of Tanjiro’s most trusted friends.
Throughout his entire life, his only desire was to mend his broken relationship with his estranged older brother. This drove him to join the Demon Slayer Corps, where he eventually met his demise at the hands of the Upper Moon. It is a shame that we were not able to witness the two brothers reconcile and put an end to their differences.
7. Sasha Braus from Attack on Titan
Although we all hoped for the lovable potato girl from Attack on Titan to have a happy life with her friends and an abundance of delicious food, her fate took a tragic turn in the final season. In a shocking twist, she met her untimely demise. Sasha, a member of the Scout Regiment, stood out among her more serious peers as a breath of fresh air.
Despite her carefree demeanor, she displayed impressive marksmanship and courage when faced with danger. It is unfortunate that her character was given an untimely and abrupt end, as she deserved better.

Despite being like a breath of fresh air that had changed Arima’s life, bidding her farewell was a painful experience for both him and the fans.
4. Aki Hayakawa (Chainsaw Man)
Aki Hayakawa, the Public Safety Devil Hunter assigned to take care of Denji and Power by Makima, quickly won over our hearts with his chivalrous and compassionate demeanor towards his loved ones.
Despite experiencing numerous tragic losses throughout his lifetime, from the loss of his family to his close colleagues, his death was by far the most devastating. Not only did he die, but he also became possessed by the very devil he had sworn revenge against. He was one of the few characters, alongside Denji, who deserved a peaceful life.
Kento Nanami: A Character from Jujutsu Kaisen
Fans of Jujutsu Kaisen are all too familiar with the heart-wrenching endings that have left millions devastated. The series has never shied away from portraying tragic character fates, with not a single character thus far ending on a positive note.
Among all the tragic deaths, Nanami’s was undeniably the most heart-wrenching. As an overworked ex-salaryman, all he wanted was a simple, ordinary life, but fate had other plans and burdened him with the responsibility of being a Jujutsu Sorcerer. Despite finally discovering the purpose of his life, all thanks to Eiji, tragedy struck in the worst way. Just as he had triumphed over the greatest evil and was on the verge of attaining his “happy ever after,”it was cruelly snatched away. Neither Ash nor Eiji deserved such a heartbreaking ending.
