As the month of May comes to a close, numerous K-pop groups have been creating a stir in the industry through their music releases, activities, achievements, and other endeavors.
The Korean Business Research Institute has recently released its latest brand reputation rankings for all K-pop idol groups in order to gauge their popularity. The data was collected from April 16 to May 16, according to sources.
The findings were subsequently derived from an examination of multiple factors influencing exposure, including consumer involvement, media coverage of artists, and their level of interaction with fans.
Top 10 Trending K-pop Groups of May 2024
IVE
In May, IVE achieved a brand reputation index of 7,776,870, earning them the top spot on the rankings. Their latest title track “HEYA”has also captured the attention of the K-pop community, further increasing their popularity.
2. ILLIT
ILLIT came in second place with a brand reputation index of 5,999,192.
3. SEVENTEEN

Despite earning a brand reputation index of 5,654,248, SEVENTEEN still secured the No. 3 spot in the rankings.
(G)I-DLE
In May, (G)I-DLE secured the fourth spot with a brand reputation index of 4,422,772.
5. The Sserafim
E SSERAFIM’s brand reputation index of 4,382,785 placed them in the top five.
6. K-pop Sensation BLACKPINK
BLACKPINK earned the 6th position with a brand reputation index of 3,559,473.
7. Baby Monster
Despite being ranked No. 7, BABYMONSTER still achieved an impressive brand reputation index of 3,425,319.
TWS
TWS earned the No. 8 spot with a brand reputation index of 2,776,864.
K-pop music group BTS
With a brand reputation index of 2,406,950, BTS secured the No. 9 spot.
NCT
Finally, with a brand reputation index of 2,361,386, NCT secured a spot in the top 10.
