Top 36 Named Blades in One Piece

In the One Piece world, blades are commonly utilized as weapons. This classification includes weapons with at least one sharp edge such as katanas, sabers, longswords, polearms, and claws. It can be noted that while all swords are blades, not all blades can be categorized as swords. Haki can also be employed to enhance blades, just like any other weapon.

Each bladed weapon possesses its own distinct traits based on its type, shape, and size. While a blade’s effectiveness in combat relies on the skill and strength of its wielder, certain blades hold inherent strength. Among these, the peerless Black Blades reign supreme, as they are permanently imbued with Haki.

The blades that are individually named are divided into four categories based on their level of craftsmanship: the numerous Graded Blades, the 50 Skillful Grade Blades, the 21 Great Grade Blades, and the 12 Supreme Grade Blades, which are the most rare. So far, Eiichiro Oda, the author of One Piece, has disclosed the names of several dozen blades, but the rank of only a few has been revealed.

Please be aware that this article includes significant spoilers from the One Piece manga up to chapter 1123.

Despite the unique properties of Enma, Oden was able to wield it flawlessly alongside Ame no Habakiri to injure Kaido and leave him with a scar. Even after Oden’s death, his retainers, known as the Red Scabbards, were unable to wield Enma despite their own considerable skill in using Haki.

In order for Roronoa Zoro to return Shusui to Wano, Oden’s daughter Hiyori gifted him with Enma. Through training with Enma, Zoro significantly improved his abilities with Armament Haki, allowing his attacks to inflict serious damage on Kaido. The power of Zoro’s techniques even caused Big Mom to panic, leading her to advise Kaido to avoid them at any cost.
