As we reach the midway point of April, numerous K-pop groups have been generating excitement with their new music, packed schedules, and active social media engagement. In order to gauge their level of popularity, the Korean Business Research Institute revealed their latest brand reputation rankings for girl groups in the industry.
During April 2024, these 50 K-pop girl groups received the most attention and generated significant buzz.
1. ILLIT
Despite only debuting in March, ILLIT has already made a name for itself on the rankings with a brand reputation index of 3,347,912, earning them the top spot. This accolade is especially commendable, considering their relative newcomer status.
This serves as a reminder of the significant progress they have made in the K-pop industry since their debut with “Magnetic,”solidifying their position as one of the most sought-after rookie groups in the fifth generation of K-pop.
2. (G)I-DLE
(G)I-DLE took the No. 2 spot with a brand reputation index of 3,072,509.
3. IVE
In April 2024, IVE ranked third with a brand reputation index of 2,644,317.
4. Popular K-pop Girl Group: BLACKPINK
Despite their brand reputation index of 2,601,322, BLACKPINK was only able to secure the No. 4 spot.
BABYMONSTER
BABYMONSTER came in fifth with a brand reputation index of 2,574,551. The group is currently promoting their recent releases “BABYMONS7ER”and “SHEESH,”which were both unveiled on April 1.
In addition to their music pursuits, the group is highly involved in updating their social media, an important aspect of connecting with their dedicated fans.
6. TWICE
At No. 6, TWICE maintained their spot with a brand reputation index of 2,225,657 on the list.
7. New Jeans
Despite having a brand reputation index of 2,018,124, NewJeans managed to secure the seventh spot for the month of April. The group has been generating excitement online for their highly anticipated Korean comeback and debut in the Japanese music industry.
Red Velvet
Red Velvet’s brand reputation index of 1,973,508 earned them the eighth place ranking.
OH MY GIRL
With an index of 1,634,562, OH MY GIRL achieved the 9th spot.
10. Girls’ Generation
The final position in the top 10 was secured by Girls’ Generation, with an index of 1,602,175.
