6. Decimus, The Vanguard Class
The Vanguard class has the potential to be robust on paper, but gameplay reveals several shortcomings. Despite having access to the Instigator Bolt Carbine and Occulus Bolt Carbine, two of the top mid-range weapons available, the Vanguard’s overall gameplay lacks the necessary impact and effectiveness in combat.
On a positive note, the class is equipped with a Combat Knife and Chainsword, the former of which features a larger parry window, enhancing melee gameplay.
Although melee combat may not be the preference for many gamers, those who enjoy close encounters will likely favor the Vanguard class in Warhammer 40K Space Marine 2, particularly with the Grapnel Launcher that helps you get close to enemies quickly.
5. Vespasius, The Assault Class
The Assault class lacks primary weapons, thus limiting ranged combat options. Nonetheless, this class is still entertaining. The Jump Pack ability is arguably the best feature in the game.

Prioritizing damage over defense, the Heavy Class is well-suited for reckless gameplay but requires support from teammates to maximize effectiveness, such as benefiting from Bulwark shield regeneration.
3. Quartus, The Bulwark Class
The Bulwark class embodies a blend of team support and tank capabilities in Warhammer 40K Space Marine 2. If you enjoy supporting teammates through benefits such as shield regeneration and absorbing damage, the Bulwark class is undoubtedly suited for you.
While it lacks a primary weapon, the Bulwark class compensates with secondary weapons and shields, allowing it to work effectively alongside other classes, like Tactical, as a mid-range unit within the team.
However, this role remains crucial for the survival of your team, so it’s essential to focus on supporting rather than engaging in aggressive assaults.
2. Scipius, The Sniper Class

The Tactical Class’s Auspex Scan ability highlights nearby enemies and enhances ally damage against them, providing a crucial advantage in engagements with swarming enemies.
