Top Black Ops 6 Player Unveils New SMG to Compete with Jackal PDW

The competitive landscape of Black Ops 6 Ranked Play has become increasingly dynamic, with top players rapidly adapting to shifts in weapon effectiveness. Currently, the standout player ranked number one in the Top 250, known as Havok, has put forward a compelling KSV loadout aimed at challenging the dominance of the Jackal PDW, a weapon that has gained a reputation as the top SMG in the game.

Since the launch of Ranked Play on November 21, there have been significant fluctuations in the meta. Initially, weapons like the XM4, Model L, and Krig C were favored as the primary choices for assault rifles, outperforming the AMES 85 in terms of kill times and performance metrics. Yet, following the Season 1 Reloaded update, these previously strong ARs were banned, pushing players toward the AMES 85 as the only viable assault rifle.

In the SMG category, the Jackal PDW has consistently been a key player, often seen in nearly every Ranked Play match due to its unmatched speed and agility. However, Havok has identified the KSV as a formidable new contender that could disrupt the current status quo.

This KSV loadout from Havok comprises the following components:

  • Muzzle: Compensator
  • Barrel: Long Barrel
  • Underbarrel: Ranger Foregrip
  • Rear Grip: Ergonomic Grip
  • Stock: Balanced Stock

At first glance, one might question Havok’s preference for the KSV over the highly regarded Jackal PDW. The latter boasts a rapid 225-millisecond time-to-kill from zero to 10 meters, significantly outpacing the KSV’s 264 milliseconds. Additionally, the Jackal PDW features superior aim down sights (ADS) speed, bullet velocity, and sprint-to-fire metrics, solidifying its place at the top of many players’ lists.

However, the KSV presents some compelling advantages, particularly its impressive fire rate of 800 rounds per minute—exceeding the Jackal’s 682 rounds per minute. This potential for higher damage output makes the KSV an attractive option worth considering.

Havok’s loadout is designed to enhance the KSV’s recoil control and mobility, which are crucial for competitive play. The use of the Compensator and Ranger Foregrip significantly stabilizes both vertical and horizontal recoil, allowing for more consistent shooting. Meanwhile, the Long Barrel increases the weapon’s effective damage range, extending its reach from 12.7 meters to 17.8 meters.

To further boost maneuverability, the Balanced Stock and Ergonomic Grip optimize key mobility aspects, making the KSV a versatile choice for players who are looking to mix speed with effective firepower. As the meta evolves, this KSV loadout might just be the edge players need to compete effectively in Ranked Play.
