The Necromancer, a beloved character class, made its first appearance in Diablo 2 and has remained a fan favorite for more than twenty years. The Necromancer: Is it the Right Choice for Me?

The Necromancer in Diablo Immortal shares similarities with previous Necromancers in the Diablo series. However, the gameplay of Immortal has led to some notable changes for this class.

The Necromancer class is not suitable for those seeking to defeat their enemies through sheer force. Rather, it is a type of mage that harnesses the power of death as its main arsenal. This includes abilities such as causing corpses to explode, casting bone spells, and inflicting status ailments on enemies.

While the primary appeal of the Necromancer lies in their ability to summon undead minions to carry out their commands, they also possess the power to raise the deceased and use them in battle. This allows them to stay safe from harm while they use spells to enhance their minions or provide support from a distance.

Playing as Diablo’s resident anti-hero is also an incredibly enjoyable experience.

The Necromancer is a character class that recognizes the necessity of harnessing the power of death in order to defeat the Lord of Terror and protect the world. By embracing the darkness and utilizing the forces of death as a weapon, they can stand against the legions of Hell.

Is the Necromancer Good This Season?

In both PVE and PVP, the Necromancer has been ranked an A in Diablo Immortal Season 30.

Despite falling just short of the top-tier S rank, the Necromancer still proves to be an excellent choice as Season 30 of the game begins.

Best Necromancer Diablo Immortal Build

Despite the variety of Necromancer builds available in Season 30, the Summoner remains the most effective one to use.

If you prefer a character focused on PVP, the Bone Spikes/Embalmer build might be more suitable. However, the Summoner build remains the top choice overall.

Attributes

To effectively build it, prioritize allocating attribute points into Intelligence and Vitality, with some investment in Willpower and Fortitude. This build places less emphasis on Strength as a stat.

Skills

The main offensive ability for this Necromancer build is Soulfire, which allows you to attack enemies from a safe distance while your minions do the bulk of the fighting. This not only makes it a formidable offensive tool, but also allows you to effectively support your minions and stay out of harm’s way.

Your primary support abilities should include Command Skeletons and Corpse Explosion. The latter will enable you to cause deceased foes to detonate, harming any other creatures nearby.

By utilizing Command Skeletons, you can replenish your fallen bone warriors and direct them towards a specific target. Once summoned, your skeletons will charge at the designated target and continue attacking until it is defeated. The skill has a cooldown of 8 seconds before it can be used again.

While it is not recommended to use it every 8 seconds, the skill will aid you in managing your minions and keeping them focused when necessary.

Your secondary skills should focus on Bone Armor and Command Golem. The former creates a protective bone barrier around you that can withstand damage until it fades. This ability becomes crucial as the game progresses and enemies become tougher to defeat and deal more damage. It becomes available at level 41, so you will have to wait until then to utilize it.

The act of casting Command Golem calls forth a formidable creature to battle on your behalf, with the added advantage of providing support for your skeletons in the midst of combat. This combination is crucial to the success of the build, however, it remains locked until reaching level 50.

Therefore, do not hesitate to try out alternative skills like Skeletal Mage while waiting for Command Golem and Bone Armor to become available. However, remember to focus on the aforementioned skills until they are unlocked.

Gear

The ideal armor for this build is the Shepherds Call to Wolves set (including jewelry). Equipping more pieces of this set will provide your minions with greater buffs, making it the top choice for maximizing their effectiveness. While it may not offer the best protection, this set is crucial for enhancing the performance of your summoned creatures in this build.

When considering your primary weapon, be on the lookout for the Destolatoria as it will enhance your Command Golem ability. As for your secondary item, choose the Life in Balance item. This will boost your Command Skeletons skill, resulting in all your minions receiving a boost from your weapons.

PVP Necromancer Build for Diablo Immortal

Necromancers are feared by the people of Sanctuary, but they’re a useful ally against Diablo.

If your goal is to utilize a Necromancer for PVP, there is a specific build that is better suited for this purpose compared to the traditional Summoner. This is the Bone Spikes Necromancer, also referred to as the Embalmer build, which is a powerful mage specialized in taking down other Nephalem.

Utilize the identical attributes as the aforementioned PVE build, with an emphasis on leveling the subsequent abilities:

  • Bone Spear (Primary skill)
  • Bone Spikes (Main support skill)
  • Bone Wall (Secondary support skill)
  • Corpse Lance (Secondary skill)
  • Wraith Form (Additional skill)

You can also utilize your Command Skeletons ability, but keep in mind that experienced PVP players will remove your minions swiftly. Therefore, it is more prudent to prioritize your own offensive capabilities.

Nevertheless, if you have reached a sufficient level, Command Golem can serve as a valuable tool. Your Golem will divert some of the focus away from you and occupy your opponent for a brief period, providing you with an opportunity to strike.

When it comes to gear, make sure to have the following items equipped:

  • Sacaral Chausses
  • Gravedirt’s Weight
  • Exhumant’s Backbone
  • Visiting’s Sign
  • Desolate
  • Pyre’s Allure

This equipment should enhance your primary abilities and increase the strength of your bone spells in order to maximize their effectiveness in PVP battles.
