The Tempest is a fresh addition to the Diablo series and, currently, is only available in Diablo Immortal. However, is this water wizard suitable for you?
Despite the increasing excitement surrounding the upcoming Spiritborn class for Diablo 4, Diablo Immortal has just introduced its second unique class. Similar to the Blood Knight, the Tempest is a completely new addition to the Diablo franchise, making its debut in Immortal.
The Tempest class combines the abilities of the Wizard and Monk classes to harness the power of the elements in order to defeat demons. Unlike previous “Light characters”who relied on faith as holy warriors, the Tempest class is the first to have a unique approach to combat.
Instead, Tempests devote themselves to the manipulation of tides and wind, harnessing these elements to swiftly send Diablo’s minions back to the depths of Hell in a deluge of watery destruction. Below is the top Tempest build for this season in Diablo Immortal, along with instructions on how to create it.
The Tempest is an exclusive class to Diablo Immortal.
Best Necromancer Diablo Immortal build
Undoubtedly, the most superior Tempest build in Diablo Immortal is the Mist-Touched build, making the most of the class’s primary feature, its key Passive Ability, Mist-Touched.
This Passive constantly calls forth Zephyr minions to fight alongside the Tempest and mimic their abilities. Although these minions are timed, they serve a similar purpose to the Necromancer’s skeletons.
Zephyrs are activated through your regular attacks, so attacking swiftly will increase the likelihood of summoning them. When a Zephyr perishes, it leaves behind an orb that can boost allies for 10 seconds and potentially call forth a new Zephyr. Additionally, your abilities can also summon a Zephyr.
The ideal Tempest build should revolve around skills that complement the Mist-Touched ability, as this will allow you to have three active Zephyrs simultaneously. The goal is to generate Zephyrs quickly for maximum damage and support.
My Skills
The most effective skills to utilize for the Mist-Touched build are as follows:
Main Skill
- Wave Edge (Power of the Deeps Ultimate Ability)
Passive Ability
- Mist-Touched
Additional Abilities
- Flowing Strikes
- Rolling Surf
- Storm Fury
- Wind Walk
The aforementioned four Secondary Skills will enhance your abilities and those of your Zephyrs, increasing your overall strength. They will also improve the efficiency of your Primary Skills, potentially resulting in the summoning of more Zephyrs due to increased speed and damage output.
Gear
For optimal savagery and effectiveness of the build, we suggest tracking down and equipping the following Legendary items:
- Head: Look Leeward
- Shoulders: Safe Borders
- Chest: Zephyrguard
- Legs: Flaring Lighthouse
- Main Hand: Shriekworth & Harmonious Castill
- Off-Hand: No Second Chances & Hurrican Hitch
Together with the Mist-Touched build, these items will greatly enhance your ability to dominate in both PVE and PVP.
The Tempest class is still very effective this season.
Is the Tempest good this season?
The Tempest was given an S-class rating in Season 30.
We anticipate this trend to continue for the foreseeable future, including in Season 31 and beyond. This is largely due to the game’s ongoing promotion and preference for the class, as it was the most recently added to the game.
The Tempest class relies heavily on the Mist-Touched skill and Zephyrs for its offensive abilities, making it a straightforward and manageable class to learn and excel at.
Who are the Tempests?
The Tempests become involved in the battle against Diablo and his minions when their island home is attacked by demons. Fed up with the Prime Evil’s control over their land, the Tempests save some sailors, defeat the invading demons, and publicly announce their intention to wage war against Hell.
Is the Tempest right for me?
Even though the Tempest class has a distinct playstyle, it shares similarities with both the Monk and the Wizard due to its combination of melee combat and elemental magic. Players who enjoy a fast-paced, spell-casting melee character will find the Tempest class to be a satisfying choice.
The Tempest utilizes the force of the ocean and wind to defeat their enemies, setting them apart from the Wizard. Unlike the Monk, they rely on swords and daggers as their main weapons, distinguishing them from any other character before them. Essentially, they represent the warriors of Diablo’s version of Atlantis and are determined to extinguish the flames of Hell.
