Top Goblin Mk2 Warzone Loadout Guide: Class Setup, Attachments, and Perks

Top Goblin Mk2 Warzone Loadout Guide: Class Setup, Attachments, and Perks

The Goblin Mk2 is a standout choice in Warzone, showcasing one of the most manageable recoil patterns available. This assault rifle excels in combat, easily dispatching enemies while maintaining solid mobility.

Warzone offers an extensive arsenal, with over 30 assault rifles derived from titles such as MW2, MW3, and Black Ops 6. Among these formidable options, including the XM4 and AK-74, players have a multitude of effective firearms suited for both mid-range and long-range encounters.

Statistically, the Goblin Mk2 boasts the fastest time-to-kill (TTK) speed among long-range meta weapons. However, it does have certain limitations that prevent it from being a dominant force. Nonetheless, when paired with the right attachments, this AR can significantly enhance gameplay.

Optimal Loadout for the Goblin Mk2 in Warzone

  • Optic: Jason Armory 2x
  • Muzzle: Compensator
  • Barrel: Gain-Twist Barrel
  • Underbarrel: Vertical Foregrip
  • Magazine: Extended Mag I
  • Rear Grip: Quickdraw Grip
  • Stock: Balanced Stock
  • Fire Mods: 7.62 NATO Overpressured

To fully unlock the potential of the Goblin Mk2, it is essential to equip it with the right attachments. We recommend utilizing the Gunfighter Wild Card, allowing for eight attachments instead of the standard five. This is particularly beneficial, despite the limitation of not being able to use a primary weapon as a secondary.

The selected attachments effectively mitigate the weapon’s shortcomings, elevating the AR’s performance. Start by equipping the Compensator and Vertical Foregrip to minimize both vertical and horizontal recoil.

As for optics, user preference plays a significant role; however, the Jason Armory 2x scope offers an excellent balance, avoiding extremes of being overly zoomed in or too distant. While there may be a slight adjustment period to not having a red dot, the improvement is beneficial.

The Quickdraw Grip enhances aiming speeds, while the Balanced Stock optimizes mobility, critical in fast-paced encounters.

Incorporating the Reinforced Barrel is advisable for improved damage range and bullet velocity. Complementing this with the Extended Mag I ensures you have ample ammunition capacity for multi-target engagements.

Optimal Perks and Equipment for the Goblin Mk2

Initially, my choice for perks consisted of Dexterity, Quick Fix, and Tempered. However, after in-depth analysis by JGOD revealed their shortcomings, I reconsidered my selection.

Consequently, my new preferred combination is Scavenger, Tracker, and Alertness. Scavenger is particularly valuable as it ensures your character starts with maximum ammunition and allows you to collect additional ammo and equipment from fallen enemies.

Additionally, Tracker is invaluable during combat. It aids in tracking your opponents by revealing their footprints, indicating how recent their movements are based on color coding.

For the third perk, Alertness proves to be the most advantageous, notifying you when an enemy is within 30 meters and alerting you if they are directly looking at you within a 200-meter range.

Furthermore, combining Frag and Smoke grenades is a strategic choice. Frags can dislodge enemies hiding behind covers or take down weakened foes, while Smoke grenades provide crucial cover for repositioning or retreating from a firefight.

Pros and Cons of the Goblin Mk2

Pros Cons
Impressive TTK Limited by semi-automatic firing rate
Consistent recoil performance Requires eight attachments to reach its potential
Strong in mid-range battles Relatively small magazine capacity

Goblin Mk2: Its Current Standing in Warzone’s Meta

As per WZ Ranked, the Goblin Mk2 ranks as the 35th most used weapon in Warzone, trailing behind many alternatives. Although this assault rifle boasts a theoretical TTK of 585 milliseconds, which leads all ARs, practical application reveals a different story.

Semi-automatic weapons like the Goblin Mk2 rely on the player’s rapid firing ability to maximize effectiveness. Thus, while the theoretical TTK aligns with an impressive statistic, actual performance may vary significantly, particularly for those with slower trigger responses.

In most scenarios, players will find that the TTK of the Goblin Mk2 aligns more closely with other automatic ARs, making those options preferable due to their ease of use and overall effectiveness.

Unlocking the Goblin Mk2 in Warzone

To access the Goblin Mk2, you must reach level 46, presenting a challenge for players focused solely on Warzone gameplay.

Alternatives to the Goblin Mk2 in Warzone

The semi-automatic firing rate of the Goblin Mk2 can pose challenges, even for experienced players. Additionally, the necessity of equipping eight attachments limits your ability to carry a secondary SMG. Despite its strengths, the Goblin Mk2 presents certain drawbacks.

For those seeking alternatives, the laser-accurate GPR 91 or the versatile XM4 are excellent substitutes to consider.
