Hwasa captured attention on her Instagram on September 2nd when she posted a series of photos.
The caption also caused confusion among fans and netizens, in addition to the images that went viral.
The dispute emerged after Instagram automatically translated her caption into English, which surprisingly implied that Hwasa had called her fans “ignorant mfs that would be strangled”. This understandably caused confusion and worry among her followers.
Although she was accused of insulting her fans, Hwasa did not actually do so.
In truth, the Korean caption “목이빠졌을무무청이들에게”by Hwasa has a slightly different meaning. The term “목이 빠졌을”is a common Korean phrase used to express the feeling of waiting for a long time. Therefore, Hwasa was actually addressing the Moomoos who have been patiently waiting.
Hwasa of Mamamoo addressed her fans as “dumb motherfers”and this statement was fact-checked to be false.
