Introducing Klukai

Klukai is an SSR unit belonging to the Sentinel class and wields an Assault Rifle. Recognized for her extraordinary AoE damage and exceptional mobility on the battlefield, Klukai effectively utilizes her motorbike to swiftly engage enemies.

Her unique abilities enable her to inflict AoE Corrosion damage, which strategically reduces the defense of her foes, allowing her allies to easily eliminate any remaining enemies who might barely withstand her assault.

Klukai’s Abilities

Though not yet available on the global server, several sources—like Prydwen—have translated Klukai’s abilities. Here’s a detailed breakdown of her kit:

Basic Attack

Ability Name Description
Swift Strike (Targeted, Medium Ammo) Select a single enemy target within 8 tiles and inflict Physical damage equal to 80% of your attack power.

Active Skills

Ability Name Description
Precision Shockwave (AoE, Debuff, Medium Ammo, Corrosion) Target one enemy within 8 tiles and cause AoE Corrosion damage equal to 80% of your attack power. This attack also triggers an additional AoE Corrosion damage of 60% to the initial target and all enemies within 3 tiles, pulling them 1 tile toward the center. If you secure a kill, refresh the cooldown of your Ultimate “Crushing Drift” by 1 turn and gain 2 points of Confectance Index. If no kill is achieved, apply 1 stack of Compressive Corrosion to the target, persisting for 2 turns.

Active Skill

Ability Name Description
Strong Reversal (AoE, Debuff, Corrosion) Designate a tile within 8 tiles to deal AoE Corrosion damage equal to 90% of your attack power to all enemies within 3 tiles, inflicting Toxic Invasion for 2 turns. For enemies already affected by this debuff, damage increases by 15%.

Ultimate

Ability Name Description
Crushing Drift (Targeted, Buff, Medium Ammo) Pick a tile within a cross-shaped area from 4 to 8 tiles, drop to that position, and inflict AoE Corrosion damage equal to 100% of your attack power to all enemy targets along a 5-tile wide path, while gaining 6 tiles of Additional Movement. If 2 or more targets are eliminated, you may use this skill again, once more.

Passive Skill

Ability Name Description
Swift Harmony (Interception) At the onset of action, gain one point of Confectance Index and a Tuning stack. While targeting an enemy not shielded by Cover, gain another point of Confectance Index. Prior to taking targeted damage, if Tuning stacks exceed two, launch Interception to deal light ammo Physical damage equal to 150% of attack and apply four points of Stability damage, permanently adding one Tuning stack. This action can occur once per turn, and for stacks exceeding three, damage output is increased by 20%.

Optimal Klukai Weapon

The ideal weapon for Klukai is the Planeta rifle. Although originally designed for another unit, it perfectly complements her skills. While Klukai maintains full health, she receives a random buff at the start of each action. Furthermore, securing a kill amplifies the damage output of her active skills.

This synergy with her AoE skills allows her to effectively finish off low-health targets with ease. If you currently lack the Planeta rifle, alternatives include the Golden Melody and the upcoming Scylla once it becomes accessible globally.

For a reliable free-to-play option, look at the Heckler & Koch HK416 (upcoming), which ignores 20% of the target’s defense when a Corrosion weakness is exploited. This pairs excellently with Klukai’s AoE Corrosion attacks.

For details on each weapon’s traits and effects, refer to the table below:

Weapon Trait Effect
Planeta (SSR) At full HP, grants a random attack buff for 1 turn at the start of the action. Increases damage from active skills post-kill or after Extra Action, stacking effectiveness with movement bonuses after reaching maximum stacks.
Scylla (SSR) Exploiting weaknesses allows for additional defense ignoring and boosts AoE damage. Enhances AoE corrosion damage and enables a stacking damage increase based on the number of instances.
Golden Melody (SSR) Random buffs received last 1 turn if HP is full after action completion. Increases overall damage and synergizes with supports for enhanced damage output.
Heckler & Koch HK416 (SR) Defense ignores when exploiting weaknesses, particularly Corrosion. Boosts damage when multiple targets are engaged.

Top Team Composition for Klukai

Klukai's team composition
The ideal team for Klukai from Sunborn

Although the developers have not officially announced Klukai’s global release, we have curated an effective team composition based on current synergies observed within the China server. As her launch may tweak availability, we recommend the following lineup for optimal effectiveness:

  • Klukai (AoE DPS)
  • Peritya (DPS)
  • Mechty (Support)
  • Finland / Ksenia (Support)

This composition focuses on triggering Peritya‘s passive ability, Chain Reaction, which allows her to execute an Action Support whenever an AoE attack from an ally damages an enemy unit. With Klukai’s ability to deal AoE Corrosion damage, you’ll consistently activate Peritya’s support attacks.

Additionally, Mechty amplifies Corrosion damage on Peritya’s support attacks, enhancing their lethality. This continuous pressure results in enemy defenses being weakened substantially.

For added healing and AoE support, Ksenia is an excellent choice, ensuring Peritya remains active regardless of Klukai’s cooldowns. For an even sturdier team in tough encounters, consider substituting Ksenia with Suomi, who is celebrated as the top support in the game thanks to her exceptional shields and life-preserving abilities.
