Are you ready to elevate your gameplay in Fisch? Stockpiling Enchant Relics is crucial whether you’re enhancing your favorite fishing rods, unlocking hidden doors, or pursuing the revered Trident Rod. However, finding these elusive items can be quite challenging without proper insight.
Where to Find Enchant Relics in Fisch
The primary source of Enchant Relics is through fishing, however, they are very rare. Players face a daunting 1 in 500 chance of hooking an Enchant Relic with each cast. These odds remain constant regardless of your bait, the weather, time of day, or season.
You’ll know when you’ve caught an Enchant Relic when a distinctive cyan exclamation mark appears above your avatar. Additionally, the reeling action becomes noticeably different, progressing 20% slower than usual—this ensures a greater chance of securing your find without it breaking away. Stay alert and quick on your reflexes to maximize your fishing experience!
Top Fishing Locations for Enchant Relics
While Enchant Relics can technically be fished anywhere, certain spots have gained a reputation for being particularly productive. Although these locations won’t improve your odds from a mathematical standpoint, they do provide better fishing conditions that facilitate multitasking. Here are some prime spots to try your luck:
1. The Depths
The Depths is known for yielding high-value catches, including Enchant Relics. It has become a hub for players seeking relics, often resulting in better catch rates compared to other fishing venues.
2. Ancient Isle Pond
Located in the heart of the main island next to the Merchant NPC, the pond on the Ancient Isle is my personal favorite for relic fishing. Although I didn’t find them as frequently as in The Depths, I was able to catch several relics here during my quests.
3. Nurse Shark Spawn Area, Roslit Bay
While not widely recognized for Enchant Relics, I’ve seen reddit users noting an uptick in relic catches near where Nurse Sharks spawn in Roslit Bay. My experience confirmed slightly better relic accessibility here compared to average spots, though Ancient Isle still shone brighter.
For navigation, refer to the map shared by XxMakio which indicates the locations outlined in pink on the map, marking two specific areas on the southern end of the Roslit lighthouse.
Though these destinations may not mathematically guarantee higher catch rates, they remain popular choices. These areas combine efficient fishing, reward potential, and thrilling experiences, making them ideal for relic hunters. Plus, even without landing a relic, the scenic allure and rare fish make these spots worthwhile.
Alternative Methods to Acquire Enchant Relics
If your fishing efforts aren’t yielding satisfactory results—or if you prefer a more efficient means of acquisition—there are other viable paths to secure Enchant Relics. These methods might require preparation or depend on specific circumstances but can effectively bolster your collection efforts.
Merlin on Sunstone Island
After reaching Level 30, you unlock access to Merlin, an NPC located atop Sunstone Island who sells Enchant Relics at 11,000C$ each. Though not cheap, obtaining relics from Merlin offers a sure-fire way to expand your collection if you have the required C$.
Trading
Trading is another potential route, although it does carry a degree of risk. Fisch lacks a secure trading mechanism, making trust paramount. If you find reliable players, you might exchange rare fish for relics, but proceed with caution due to the risk of scams.
Redeemable Codes
Occasionally, developers release redeemable codes for Fisch that grant players rewards, including Enchant Relics. However, these codes are rare and have short validity periods.
Event Rewards
Previous events, such as the 2024 Fischfright event, have offered Enchant Relics as rewards for completing challenges. While no future events have been confirmed, it’s advisable to stay updated on announcements through the Fisch Discord server to see if relics reappear in future events.
How to Use Enchant Relics in Fisch
Enchant Relics primarily serve to enhance your fishing rods, but they also unlock some of the game’s most exceptional rods. Here’s how you can effectively utilize your relics:
Enchanting Rods at the Keepers Altar
To enchant a rod, visit the Statue of Sovereignty and spend 400C$ to access the Keepers Altar, which operates only at night. Interacting with the altar will consume one Enchant Relic and apply a random enhancement to your currently equipped rod, boosting various stats for improved performance.
Unlocking the Trident Rod
The highly sought-after Trident Rod is available for purchase at the hidden temple in the Desolate Deep for a hefty 150,000C$. Unlocking the temple door requires placing five Enchant Relics on designated pedestals after completing the Desolate Deep Bestiary.
Once the door opens, you can buy the rod. Alternatively, you could be permitted entry by another player who has already unlocked the door, avoiding the expense of sacrificing relics, although you will still need to purchase the rod. Keep in mind that the door remains open for a limited time, necessitating proper coordination if relying on a fellow player.
Unlocking the Rod of the Depths
To secure the Rod of the Depths, known as one of Fisch’s best rods, head to the Depths and supply one Hexed Enchant Relic and one Abyssal Enchant Relic, placing them on the two altars located near the central island’s waterfall. One altar can be found behind the waterfall, while the other is midway up. Once both relics are offered, a hidden underwater maze becomes accessible, leading to the rod itself, which costs a staggering 750,000C$.
Keep in mind, Hexed and Abyssal relics are significantly rarer than standard relics. Utilizing a rod enchanted with the Abyssal trait can enhance your chances of catching Abyssal Relics, while fishing during Mutation Surge events increases your odds of finding any relic.
Alternatively, you could attempt to appraise Enchant Relics in Moosewood to identify their type, though this is a costly and unreliable method I wouldn’t highly recommend.
