In XDefiant, Marksman Rifles can be a suitable alternative for long-range combat if you’re not a fan of Sniper Rifles. Currently, there are only two options available, but here is a tier ranking to determine the superior option.
In XDefiant, the Marksman Rifle combines elements of both Sniper and Assault Rifle, allowing for versatility in gameplay instead of being restricted to a single style.
Although they may not be the most powerful weapons, they can still be a suitable choice for players looking for a long-range alternative to the available Sniper Rifles. With that in mind, here is a ranking of the Marksman Rifles in XDefiant.

2. SVD
The SVD falls slightly short of the MK 20 SSR.
The SVD and MK 20 SSR are comparable in terms of effectiveness, but the SVD can be transformed into a fierce mid-range weapon with the proper attachments.
The main reason for its inferior performance is its slower rate of fire and significantly longer reload time in comparison to the MK 20 SSR. Although attachments are necessary for both guns to achieve an optimal loadout, the SVD falls behind the MK 20 in performance even with attachments.
MK 20 SSR
The MK 20 SSR is the better Marksman out of the two right now.
The MK 20 SSR is available for use as soon as you download the game, making it the first Marksman Rifle you can test out.
The MK 20 is a reliable choice for controlling sightlines, particularly in objective-based game modes such as Escort. While it may not be exceptional on its own, when equipped with the proper attachments, it can easily eliminate enemies with just one or two shots. When compared to the SVD, it strikes a better balance between the strengths of an AR and a Sniper.
