Top Necromancer Builds for Diablo Immortal in Season 31

Even Diablo and his minions can’t escape the grip of mortality. Check out the top Diablo Immortal Necromancer builds for Season 31.

Originally introduced in Diablo 2, the Necromancer has captivated players as a beloved character class for over two decades. This class not only relies on poison and bone spells but also harnesses the power to summon a legion of undead minions to do their bidding. Although the Witch Doctor, with its equally dark and enigmatic abilities, took the spotlight in Diablo 3, the Necromancer was reintroduced in a major expansion due to fan demand. Additionally, this character class is set to feature prominently in the upcoming Diablo 4.

Now, the deathly priests of Rathma return in Diablo Immortal, a game available on mobile devices and PC. The pressing question is, among the various bone and summoning spells at their disposal, which Necromancer build should you opt for in Diablo Immortal – and which ones are the most effective in Season 31? Below, we’ll unveil the best Necromancer builds in Diablo Immortal this season and guide you on how to optimize them.

Is the Necromancer Right for Me?

The Necromancer in Diablo Immortal bears similarities to past iterations we’ve encountered throughout the Diablo series; however, due to the unique gameplay aspects of Immortal, there are notable differences.

This class caters to players who favor strategic magic rather than brute force to eliminate enemies. The Necromancer is akin to a mage who employs death as their primary weapon. This includes the ability to detonate corpses, cast bone spells, and inflict curses on foes.

The standout feature of the Necromancer, however, is the ability to summon undead minions to carry out commands. They can raise the deceased to fight alongside them, sending their minions into combat while providing spells to either bolster their forces or assist them from the background.

Playing as Diablo’s resident anti-hero is tremendously exciting.

The Necromancer understands that to save the realm from the Lord of Terror, they must embrace darkness and wield the forces of death as a weapon against the infernal legions.

Is the Necromancer Good This Season?

Indeed, in Diablo Immortal Season 31, the Necromancer has achieved an A rank in both PVE and PVP scenarios.

While this position falls short of the elite S rank, it confirms that the Necromancer remains a formidable choice as the season progresses.

Best Necromancer Build in Diablo Immortal

Among the various Necromancer builds available in Season 31, the classic Summoner build proves to be the most effective.

If you’re inclined towards a more PVP-focused character, the Bone Spikes/Embalmer build may be better suited, but overall, the Summoner build reigns supreme.

Attributes

To construct this build, concentrate your attribute points primarily on Intelligence and Vitality, while also investing some points into Willpower and Fortitude. Strength will be your least important stat for this build.

Skills

Your primary offensive skill for this Necromancer configuration is Soulfire. This skill allows you to attack from a distance while your minions engage the enemy in melee, enabling you to both deal damage and support your troops safely away from hazards.

Your main support skills should include Command Skeletons and Corpse Explosion. Corpse Explosion lets you detonate fallen enemies, inflicting damage to all nearby foes.

Command Skeletons helps to replenish your fallen skeletal allies and directs them towards your chosen target. Once commanded, your skeletons will charge the target and continue their assault until it perishes. You can reactivate this skill after an 8-second cooldown, allowing you to maintain control over your undead minions.

However, use this command judiciously; healing your minions should remain a priority, akin to managing a horde effectively.

Your secondary skills should be allocated to Bone Armor and Command Golem. Bone Armor generates a protective barrier of bone around you, safeguarding against incoming damage until it dissipates. This skill becomes especially crucial in the latter stages when adversaries grow increasingly powerful and deal heightened damage. It unlocks at level 41, meaning you’ll need to wait to utilize it.

Command Golem summons a potent creature to fight by your side, providing support to your skeletal army during combat, essentially functioning as the secret weapon of the build. Unfortunately, it doesn’t unlock until level 50. While waiting, feel free to experiment with other skills like Skeletal Mage until both Command Golem and Bone Armor become available, but prioritize your key skills beforehand.

Gear

The optimal armor for this setup is the Shepherds Call to Wolves set (including jewelry). The more pieces of this set that you have equipped, the greater the buffs for your minions. While it may not provide the best protection, this build’s essence lies in empowering your minions for maximum effectiveness.

For your main weapon, look out for Destolatoria, which amplifies your Command Golem skill. For your off-hand item, choose Life in Balance, as it enhances your Command Skeletons skill, ensuring all your minions receive a boost from your weapons.

Diablo Immortal PVP Necromancer Build

Necromancers instill fear in the populace of Sanctuary, yet serve as valuable allies against Diablo.

If you’re eyeing a Necromancer for PVP, there’s a more suitable build than the traditional Summoner. This is the Bone Spikes Necromancer, also referred to as the Embalmer build, a deadly mage far better equipped for battling fellow Nephalem.

Utilize the same attribute distribution as outlined in the PVE build above, but concentrate on leveling the following skills:

  • Bone Spear (Primary Skill)
  • Bone Spikes (Main Support Skill)
  • Bone Wall (Secondary Support Skill)
  • Corpse Lance (Secondary Skill)
  • Wraith Form (Additional Skill)

You can also incorporate Command Skeletons into your playstyle, but keep in mind that seasoned PVP players will likely target your minions first. Therefore, shifting focus to your own offensive prowess is advisable.

If you reach a high enough level, Command Golem can serve as a crucial asset. Your Golem will draw some attention from your competitors, allowing you to strike with your spells unencumbered.

When it comes to gear, equip the following items for optimal performance:

  • Sacaral Chausses
  • Gravedirt’s Weight
  • Exhumant’s Backbone
  • Visiting’s Sign
  • Desolate
  • Pyre’s Allure

This gear will amplify your primary skills and enhance the power of your bone spells, maximizing damage output in PVP encounters.
