1. Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft
The upcoming Netflix anime series, set to premiere in 2024, is an adaptation of the popular Tomb Raider video game series by Crystal Dynamics. The voice of Lara Croft will be portrayed by Hayley Atwell. This series serves as a bridge between the 2013-2018 Tomb Raider trilogy reboot, ending with Shadow of the Tomb Raider, and the original games. Although a release date has not been announced, fans can anticipate its arrival.
2. Delicious in Dungeon
In a fantasy realm, Delicious in Dungeon tells the story of Laios, who leads a guild on expeditions to plunder dungeons in search of the elusive Golden Kingdom. After his group, including his sister Falin, is devoured by a dragon, Laios and a new team hastily return to the dungeon in a race against time to rescue her. With limited resources, Laios proposes breaking the taboo of consuming the dungeon’s creatures for sustenance. This highly anticipated anime series is set to premiere on Netflix in January 2024.
3. Moonrise
The highly anticipated sci-fi anime series, Moonrise, is set to debut in 2024. It centers around a protagonist from Earth who enlists in the army to combat rebels on the Moon. As the story unfolds, he learns that his once loyal friend has become his enemy. The renowned character designer of Fullmetal Alchemist, Hiromu Arakawa, has joined the team for this upcoming Netflix original.
Game Series
The release date for this upcoming Netflix anime series has not yet been announced. In September 2023, the confirmation was made along with a first-look teaser trailer that Studio Mir would be in charge of producing and animating the series. It is an adaptation of the video game franchise by Capcom and a part of Adi Shankar’s Bootleg Multiverse.
5. TP Good
In October 2023, it was revealed by Netflix that they would be producing an original net animation (ONA) series based on Fujio F. Fujiko’s Time Patrol Bon manga. The series, animated by Bones, is set to premiere on Netflix in 2024 and will consist of two seasons. The storyline follows Bon, an ordinary high school student, as he joins a group of time-traveling agents and embarks on missions to save lives during significant historical events across various times and places globally.
Beasters Final Season
The upcoming third and last season of Beasters is scheduled to debut in 2024. This anime is an adaptation of Paru Itakagi’s manga, originally published in Weekly Shounen Champion in 2016 and concluded in 2022. The plot takes place in a contemporary society where animals have evolved into anthropomorphic beings. However, the cultural divide between herbivores and carnivores has caused a division within the community.
7. Beat & Motion
Naoki Fujita’s manga series, Beat & Motion, was declared the winner of the Million Tag competition, sponsored by Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump, and will soon be adapted into an anime. Although the release date has not been announced, the story centers around Tatsuhiko, who abandons his aspiration of becoming an animator. However, a fortuitous encounter with his beloved singer, Nico Kashiwagi, leads him back to his dream.
