In a recent survey conducted by Gallup Korea from November 19 to 21, 2024, which included 1,001 adults aged 18 and older, the drama Jeong Nyeon emerged as the favorite television program, boasting a preference rating of 5.5%. Overview of “Jeong Nyeon”
Jeong Nyeon is set in post-Korean War Korea, during the mid to late 1950s. The story centers around Yoon Jeong-nyeon (played by Kim Tae-ri), a naturally gifted vocalist, and Heo Young-seo (played by Shin Ye-eun), a diligent prodigy. Together, they navigate the challenges of rivalry and camaraderie as part of the Maeran Korean Gukgeuk Troupe under the guidance of director Kang So-bok (Ra Mi-ran).
